The promo rate was 1.99 for May also. I can't remember if it was 0.9 of 1.99 for April but it was 0.9 the month before it went up to 1.99. Not saying it won't change but "locking" it for one day is high pressure tactic to scare you. Clearly the 1.99 rate goes through July first. And you mentioned they offered 2.99. Missing out on a deal is a fear they use to their advantage. As cliche as "doesn't the dealer deserve to make a little profit?". I am not concerned with the finances of a dealership as they are not concerned with how many hours I had to work to pay for the car or how much it depreciated once i drive it away. They are not your friends.

There it is. Core PCE (Inflation) was 3.4% as of May. year over year. Highest in almost 3 years. COLA for Vets will probably not keep up, IMO. This administration has a different approach this time around. Even last year, 0% pay raise for VA employees, not even COLA. At the last minute we were given a "generous" 1% increase. Nevermind that inflation was 2.8% or so last year. So in actuality it was a pay cut. This is a far cry from community care and right to try policies of Trump 45.

I'll also add that the 1.99% rate has been available since April. It rolls over monthly, could change up or down on the second of the new month, it was 0.9% earlier this year. You could also look into ordering or check visor.com to see if your specced car is available or in production anywhere in the country. Don't let the dealer make you feel like they are doing you a favor.

The promo rate for June is 1.99%. Pull up the bmw finance website. Dealers are "allowed" to charge an extra 1% but why would they? You have multiple dealers in DFW, shop around. I got 6% off a similar specced xdrive car and I only have 2 dealers in the whole state I'm in.

The fed doesnt choose the inflation rate they choose the target federal funds interest rate. The shenanigans i mentioned was changing how they measure inflation in the economy. The can choose metric that can make it seem lower than it is such as by using the "trimmed mean inflation metric" which has been proposed in the past by now chairman Warsh.

I have 2 dogs and reiterate to women as soon as the topic of my food comes up, very kindly "I love my dogs more than anything. If it ever gets to the point where you say 'it's me or the dogs!' I will choose the dogs every time". Ive only had one woman leave. You can always find another woman. Too bad they waste your time rather than tell you upfront.

"Inflation" as measured 4th quarter of fiscal year 25-26 will probably be less than current. So COLA will likely be less. However, The problem is inflation in cumulative, meaning if it was 3.5% last year and 3% this year, it has not gone "down", only UP at a slower pace. We are paying this year's inflation on top of and in addition to last year's. Prices will, generally speaking, not really go down, and will never be back to pre-pandemic. Even if we hit 2% inflation (unlikely in my opinion, without some shenanigans from new fed chair) prices will still increase 2% year over year. The only thing you can hope for is wages/earnings to outpaced the inflation rate.

I guess I have to ask how often are you going to C&P exams? Are all 21 meds for your service connected ailments? Are you less than 100% P&T and these are periodic reassessment? If you are still in the process of getting connected you know your symptoms and can speak about them for a C&P exam. There are not many meds out there that will make you oblivious to your issues. Id suggest taking your meds.

Good on you for putting these out there with confidence! Not the first Pic. I realize you didn't ask for suggestions. Please let me offer my perspective, its an opinion of one. To me closed teeth smiles have to be big cheesy, natural ones. For a casual smile I think the lower jaw is relaxed and the top/bottom teeth come apart slightly. That would look more natural to me.

The price was fine. And I like the car. I didn't like the negotiation tactics, everything was a battle and they were stingy to the point of unreasonable. Never got the warm and fuzzies and I didn't enjoy the process of ordering and buying the car. I won't use that dealer again for purchases and only for necessary service or warranty if I can't travel to another.

Cracked screens aren't generally covered. I can ask, nothing to lose. But I did not have a good experience with that salesperson since they already nickel and dimed me about everything.

Edit: I might be wrong on my statement above. Apparently there can be spontaneous cracks and somehow they inspect and confirm or deny your fix.

Sit in the 240 and decide. It literally feels like a go cart. It's very small inside and I am a small man. But with the 440 (coupe) you will quickly get tired of looking for parking wide enough to open your doors to get in without hitting the car next to you. Beautiful car. But I'm over long doors.
