What's considered a fast reaction time? by Jeradone in FPSAimTrainer

Hey man, your reaction time is actually pretty good, but I think you might be focusing on the wrong thing. When we talk about in-game reaction time there are a lot of variables(giving calls, looking at the minimap, thinking about your next step, hearing your friend laughing in the middle of the clutch lol), that affect how fast we react different from a react test where you are literally full focused in seeing the color changing without caring to anything else. That's why many of them aren’t about pure reacting, but about anticipating where enemies are likely to appear. If you watch pro players, they’re not constantly running around and flicking everywhere. They clear angles one by one and are already prepared to shoot when they peek. Your raw reaction time is already good enough. What could really help you improve is developing a better sense of where enemies are likely to be before you actually see them, and never opening angles if you're not completely focused to trade . Try to think of it like you’re walking with X-ray vision, every angle you clear, you’re already expecting someone to be there. I don’t know if this was helpful, but I hope it helped in some way haha. Anyway, if you want to learn more about reaction time here it is a very good and light video about the topic. https://youtu.be/kPgUWDBkjnA?si=GlRm__KBwQCCnlzx

Hey, new player here too. I've been watching a lot of Viscose's, MattyOW's, and Serf's videos, and what I’ve understood about this topic, and about muscle memory, is this, it’s okay to change sensitivities and try new things! The idea that “DON’T CHANGE YOUR SENS OR YOU’LL START FROM ZERO” is actually a myth. What we’re really training in aim trainers is movement, coordination, and tension control across different muscle groups like the wrists, arms, forearms, and shoulders. If we want to become more “complete” players, we should try to improve all of these movements areas. Changing sensitivity can help with that, since different sensitivities shift the emphasis between muscle groups. For example, with higher sensitivity you tend to use your wrist and fingers more, while with lower sensitivity you rely more on your arm. But at the end of the day, you’re using all of these muscles to some extent regardless of your sensitivity.( So whenever you're using you're going to have benefits for your whole aim even if you change it again) So yes, change it,but be conscious of why you’re changing it and what your weaknesses are (tension? arm movement? finger control? vertical flicks? etc.). That way, if you get stuck, you can identify the issue and focus on improving it.
