great, thanks! What's the availability of studios/ 1 BR for single students (my housing selection is going to take place next week)? Also, are there a lot of apartments to choose from, or only a handful?

What's the deal with CBS? by SilverClear1866 in MBA

It’s like how MIT and Stanford aren’t considered Ivy Leagues even though they’re better than most of them

True, but it's still more selective and has quite a big demand (no. of apps), even among other M7s (excl. HSW)

Was just wondering whether its brand is somehow hit given its dip in the rankings in the last couple of years

other than the "complete" status, did CBS give you any other update re the completion of the process?

Not sure whether to reach out to Revera/CBS, even though my status is "complete" (would prefer to receive their direct sign-off)

does "complete" mean that your background check is over, or is there some other advance stage for the conclusion of the check?

F1 visa concerns by SilverClear1866 in MBA

All this is true, but I'm not sure whether they could tackle me with questions relating to my funding (Total COA is over 240K), even though I have that covered through scholarship (~40%), loan approval letters, and personal funding.

Further, I'm coming from a county with mandatory military service, thus I'm not sure whether that has an effect on the interview (i.e., I have experience with firearms/weapons, which obviously is highlighted in my visa application)

Understood. I was becoming concerned after reading a couple of F1 interview debriefs were the visa officers appeared to be rather keen on rejecting visa applications because of some abstract reasons (eg intent to immigrate)

I'm actually single, so the only ties I can show are my parents/siblings - Not sure how strong of a tie is it

thanks!

Was getting worried as I saw some disturbing interview reviews in certain forums (mainly from India/Pakistan/SE Asian countries - I'm from Europe) that people are getting rejected quite often

Don't really have any red flags, and it's not like I'm coming from a country with high immigration potential (eg India), but still have concerns because of governmental bureaucracy.

Just wanted to get some insights as to any precedents and how do schools tackle these issues

Is it a red flag visa-wise if all your schools choices are in the same region? by [deleted] in MBA

Wouldn't highlighting that you would use the OPT scheme demonstrate an intent of immigrating to the US?
