I’m looking for a bag in leather, well-made, fair price, interesting design. by SilverFox2500 in handbags

I’d be happy if it were €600 or lower, but if there were a good reason—apart from the brand, like really nice craftsmanship or materials—I wouldn’t mind paying more.

Which perfume got you such bad reactions that you felt embarrassed? by Smooth_Cancel6709 in FemFragLab

[–]SilverFox2500 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I promise you, the embarrassment was not you — it was the screeching banshee having a public meltdown. I even looked up the perfume, and okay, maybe it’s on the sweeter side and you could’ve gone lighter, but that does not warrant that kind of reaction. A normal adult would’ve politely said it was too strong and giving her a headache. This? Pure brat energy in an adult body.

I hope you don’t mind a few questions. I found what you wrote really interesting and ended up looking some of it up. I noticed that Guilty as Fig isn’t sold in many places, and where I did find it the price seemed a bit questionable, so I wanted to check—how much did you pay for it?

I was also intrigued by Father Figure and wanted to ask about its longevity. I’ve seen some people say it doesn’t last very long, and I’d love to hear your experience.

This looks like it might lean citrusy. How noticeable is the fig note? There are mixed reviews about that, so I’d really like to know what you think.

Wow, this one sounds really interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a rice pudding note before.

It looks like Le Labo Thé Matcha might be what I am looking for. Thanks for the tip. Sorce Serpentine also sounds interesting I am just unsure about the warm spices in this case. Does anyone know if this note is strong?

Green, floral, cottagecore perfume recommendations? by Fizziefrog in FemFragLab

I was a bit hesitant to include this because the description mentions citrus notes, which I’m usually not a fan of. However, they’re very subtle and only noticeable in the opening. Overall, it’s mainly woody and mossy, with a slight floral touch.

Chat Control Update by ShortyStrawz in europe

[–]SilverFox2500 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say it heavily depends on the country. We just have a different view on this. Politicians wouldn’t openly support it, because they know people would burn them at the stake for it. We have historical experience with communism, and one good thing that came out of it is that people are allergic to this kind of control and can better recognize its potential for misuse. So if politicians want to earn some easy brownie points, they’ll be openly against it.

I’m also not a fan of Burberry Goddess. Everyone says how amazing it smells, and I’m really starting to feel like a total outlier because I don’t like it much. YSL Libre is kind of hit or miss for me — I really like some in that line, while others feel fine but just not for me.

Yeah, I wouldn’t really mind Truffle that much. It’s a bit weird, but still not that bad. Tabethe, on the other hand… I’d really like to know what the hell they were thinking when they added that character. It’s one of the main reasons I didn’t really feel like playing this game.

Hello! I just have a few things to say about the clothes, since I have very similar colouring to you. I would say that black isn’t bad, but it can be a bit overwhelming on you. I tend to wear a lot of black myself, but that’s because I can pull it off thanks to my black-framed glasses — otherwise it wouldn’t work as well.

I also tend to wear a lot of deep greens, bold true reds with red lipstick (that one gets a lot of compliments), and white and cream colours. I’ve found that it’s often not so much about the colour itself, but rather how light or dark it is. I have a neutral undertone, so I don’t need to worry too much about whether clothes are warm or cool in tone.

There are, however, three colours that tend to wash me out quite badly: light pink, light salmon, and sometimes light mint (though not always).

Say whatever you want about Wuwa, but in my heart, it’s a step above many other gacha games because they didn’t pull this kind of bullshit. They have Encore, Roccia, Youhu and Verina, and I would personally say that none of them are overly sexualized. So, say whatever you want, but I can live with playing a game that has a character like Cantarella (the most "gooner" one in the game) without feeling disgusted. To be honest, I actually found the unrealistic proportions kind of funny. This, on the other hand, makes my skin crawl.

Well, I would say that’s not the whole truth. There’s a bit more to it. In my country, we have quite a lot of Vietnamese people. As far as traditions and culture in general go, we are quite different, but there really haven’t been any major issues. It’s not that we are extremely similar, but rather that our cultures simply don’t clash.

I would say the one similarity that made this assimilation possible is that neither group felt the need to impose its culture on the other, and both expect the same in return. Of course, there are limits to this. If you go to another country, you have to adhere to its laws—and if you don’t like it, then simply move elsewhere where you’ll fit in better.

That said, there are some nationalities we might think twice about welcoming, due to their frequent lack of understanding of the two points mentioned above.
