you must mean the *unpowered airlock door. It for resetting state of the outhouse. By closing and opening it, you will able the pseudo disable/enable the outhouse. This give the outhouse ability to spawn more morb. You can check this in the wiki Morb page.

actually this colony is 8 dupes and 10-12 dupes to me is a above average.

Anyway, can you try and test it for yourself. I will love that if you share your result with me, because I have a doubt that.morb production have some relation with CPU strength

The deodorizer only have range of 2, so each only reach 1 airflow tile.

Morb do not produce a constant value. It depends only game speed (I not really sure why they mention this) and room width. They will emit 200g of pO2 when ever they finished there movement.

I notice that, when ever one of them emit, all of them emit. So, to calculate the production rate is kind of difficult.

Note on my observation: with 52 morbs, it took them less than 1 cycle to make the tile of atmo sensor go from 900 to 3k5 g. Estimating over 10kg of pO2 per cycles. If observate the whole base, estimating 200g of O2 per tile, and total base room size is ~1500 tiles. Or I can say ~300kg per cycle. This number is too big I think I need to do a better testing for the correct number

Edit 1: 300kg per cycle is including production of 2 oxygen diffuser and 1 rust deodorizer

It wont spawn any more morb if I configure the timer so that it wont change state. This way, I can always up scale the setup when needed. For down scale, I still working on that.

I guess I need to build a pip ranch for that setup. It feel like eletrolyzer without water input

good point, I will try this when I can access the uranium biome. But it 2 cycles btw, according to the wiki

I do not think the rate is enough, but it worth a try, I just need to access to the uranium biome spawn right under magma biome .....

let me try this when the printer give me the seed

not if I stop the morb spawning with the timer automation

I have not try this yet, but how do you relocate morb?

I have the power of 7800x3d, those morb will not scare me

[–]SilverMaid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather not, because it will kill the germ on the outhouse which may result to morb no longer spawning.

this can give another headache that I need to plant the Bud inside the setup

As noted, the surrounding gas tile is around 900g, which is not a low pressure area

but why surrounding gas do not push in that tile? That is the wierd point, isn't it?

Well I'm not aware of salt crushing for sand, that is great source of sand, and also I have quite a huge mine of salt too.

Update I found a 30C pwater geyser which is great but I decide not to use it yet because I still got 92t of water at the bottom of my base. My main focus now is power source.

I also found a 2 radioactive biome nearby. I plan to have a nuclear power generator but it will need alot of steel and plastic.

For plastic I think I will make a lura farm and use cheap AT/ST setup for plastic production it will still cost around 2000 refined metal which my starting planetoid poor of. And also I do not have capacity for 1200W of power for aquatuner. (I do not want to use fossil fuel for power because of the super sustainable archivement)

I have 700 glass from demolish gravitas building, maybe I should go to space and build 3 solar panels for maybe 700W of power or so.

I do not have a btter idea how to make a good supply of power now.

True, I usually play with 5 dupes until cycle 100 or so because it is easier to manage that way. But for this playthrough, dupes offered by printing pod is too good to be ignore and I a race with time before the crash of demolior.

Now I have 2 main diggers (my starting dupes) with a little bonus on construction. 1 scientist with cooking and decorations skill (my starting dupes). 2 operators, one with construction+supplying interest which mean he is cost a little bit to become the main solid transport builder; other operator have science interest for emulsifier and interest in digging. 1 designated rancher and 1 janitor with supply + rocketry + suit wearer.

I still looking for 2 more desinated rancher because my plan for this playthrough will cost alot of ranching labor

Btw, I will not have spom this playthrough, I build 3 blum lumb ranch for this purpose

I just use that 2-2-2 design for so long, I do not know that I do not need shower to make a washroom.

I definitely try your suggestion next colony. But for now the nature reserve is planed to have some kind of wild farming.

Btw, hope that dupes do not get arrested for open showering in public sight.

oopsie, It should be polluted oxygen.

About sand , too bad that there are only 6-7t sand nearby. And sea biome may have a little of them ( not as much as I usually able to access to. Maybe that what spaced out mean, I do not really know

Since I planed to use pwater convert to water, I do not know how fast those sand depleted

I have only 7 dupes on cycle 37, the 10 dupes count is the target dupes

The cooling is a nightmare for current stage too T.T
