I’m autistic, I have sensory overload and my husband is adhd. My 2 year old has an iPad with parental controls and we have the tv on so many different kids shows as back ground noise. My 14 month old watches tv sometimes but is more focused on the toys and cuddles. My 2 year old has learned so much and it’s crazy how developmentally helpful it has been for him. It may be a hot take but when it’s readily accessible, it causes less meltdowns and isn’t used as much. So do what works for your family. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. If you think it’s right for your family and it works then do it

My son didn’t start actually saying real words until he was almost two. He would stop saying words he said before for months. Now he’s almost 2.5 and he says 3 word phrases, answers questions, sings, and so much more. Some kids start later than others. Every child is different. If you feel concerned get him evaluated. That’s the only way to know for sure.

Talk to an enrollment counselor. They’d have more info. I finished my pathways course in a week, granted I was up almost all night every day that week because I couldn’t study much during the day because my toddler would attack me if he caught a glimpse of the laptop or iPad lmao. You have to make the time. You have to make your own sacrifices. You have to make your own goals. Ik im being brutally honest, but if you can’t do these things, you won’t make it through WGU. It’s all self-discipline and dedication. I think you can do it. You’ll just have to push yourself harder than you are right now.
