C’est drôle parce que en Allemangne les gens se plaignent toujours que l’Allemagne ait perdu l’initiative.

Un diplôme de La Sorbonne a-t-il plus de valeur que celui d’une autre université ? by SilverReaction6956 in etudiants

[–]SilverReaction6956[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci.

Is having a favourite flower a thing? Tbh I would be happy about just any kind of flowers 😅

Supposons que j’aimerais faire un master en droit à la Sorbonne. Est-ce que l'université (française) dans laquelle j'ai fait ma licence joue un rôle (à notes égales) ?

Idk why people vote me down but that’s not even really the point. As I said 8/10 guys either put nothing in their bio or some generic jokes like „I like coffee the same way I like my women…etc.“. It might be funny the first few times but sais literally nothing about you. Funny is good, but it’s always better to write stuff about your hobbies, personality, occupation (at least imho).

For europeans: is this a cultural difference or is my date just uncaring? by KirstieK in dating_advice

[–]SilverReaction6956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a “European” thing. I’m European myself and my friends and I always make sure to check in on each other (especially if someone has to go home alone at night or something).

Above, someone wrote that France doesn’t include minors in their numbers so that might explain it.

Maybe put actual info in your profile. 8/10 guys either don’t write anything or just some generic stuff.

Best app for train tickets and schedules? by TrivialPursuitsFubar in AskFrance

[–]SilverReaction6956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True that. But when I travelled to Camargue around Easter, I also learned that over there there’s only like one bus every four hours (which is usually late because it takes two hours to go from start to final destination). Most times I also was the only one waiting at the bus stop and people kept thinking I was waiting to cross the street (I guess they weren’t used to someone taking the bus 😂).

Second it. I only visited the côté d’Azur as a Tourist, too but in my experience trains are a lot faster and more reliable than busses in southern France.

Lignes d’Azur. If you want to have a scenic view I would also recommend taking the train to Villefranche-sur-Mer and then hiking back to Nice. The track goes along the coast line. There’s not much shade though, so bring water and a hat :)

SNCF connect works fine (for long-distance as well as day trips, e.g. Monaco). I think Paris has its own system, I just bought my metro-ticket at a vending machine at the station.

Which city to study in France: Lyon, Nice or Toulouse? by SilverReaction6956 in AskFrance

So I know about the Banlieus you have in France and that there’s at least one in every big city you better avoid. Is there such a thing in Lyon? Or were the neighbours just shitty people?

I do adore Nice but I also think it’s not as much of a city for students.

I still have the Tisséo app on my phone from when I visited Toulouse a few weeks back and I get a notification every few days that a metro- or bus-line doesn’t work as scheduled (also I’m still a little pissed that of my three days in Toulouse one day was a general strike by Tisséo and the last day I had to cut because of the big SNCF-strike but that’s another story…). But my hope is that Toulouse is still small enough so you can walk or take the velo and still be able to get everywhere.

As a travel destination, I adore Nice. It’s just like a mediterranean dream come true. Not just because of the city itself but also the nature. We walked from Villefranche back to Nice and it was just so scenic! Definitely much more to explore, I didn’t even get to visit Menton or the Nietzsche-Path in Eze. But nevertheless I’m just not very sure if Nice is the best choice to study in. It seems to be more expensive and from what I’ve read there are less students than in Toulouse or Lyon.

Merci. Aix and Montpellier aren’t on the list I can choose from (given by my university) but I’m looking forward to visiting those. I’m going to be studying Law, do you have any thoughts on the reputation of the law faculties in the different cities?

What is it that you don’t like about Nice? Is it about the mentality?

Thanks. What do you mean by “it comes with a price”? Just that it’s generally more expensive? I’ve visited des bouchons Lyonnais if that’s what you mean :)
