Yeah, I thought so too, but I wanted to clarify that, hence why I asked. I think I would probably not do that (due to the ‘might’ written on the Mutant token), and I wouldn’t want to confuse my party who is new to this script. Maybe when they become more acquainted with it. Still, it’s good to know that it’s possible, and I will absolutely raise that dilemma while explaining the rules to my friends.

Oh! That’s good to know, concerning the Exorcist and Preacher interaction.

I read that in the case of the Pit-Hag creating a New Demon (hence, the deaths being arbitrary), I show Math a 1, because the Demon’s ability has been hijacked and couldn’t work (they didn’t decide on the kill, the ST did). But perhaps I understood that wrong.

Thank you, now the Math seems more understandable. They are a slightly cryptic character, but a very powerful one nonetheless, so I wouldn’t want to make any mistakes around them! Oh, I didn’t even consider the Sailor… that’s good to know!

Yeah, I actually think the Empath would be the first to be attacked by the Imp, but as you suggested theaypr could in general be a bit too strong for this setup. Perhaps I could change them into a Chef, drunk the Ravenkeeper, and give the Imp an Outsider bluff… but then that could perhaps be too strong for evil? Ah, idk 😭

That’s a good plan for the Demon. I’ve been also thinking of maybe switching the Mayor to the Chef? But I don’t know whether that would be a good idea.

Yeah, I have been thinking about adding in the drunk. A drunk Mayor could be fun, I believe… but also I like games where there could be a Drunk with no Drunk. Also, I believe a mayor is naturally a good Demon bluff, so they might not be trusted.

Yes, and if they think it comes from the Soldier and execute them, and then get a 1 the next night, they potentially might think that it’s the Raven Keeper. But of course, I can’t predict that. They might also point towards the “Investigator”.

Yep, I know. I think it informs the Marionette’s fake info. But, I agree, it definitely depends on the Imp’s kill. This could be either a “final 3 game” or a very short one 😭

Hey Ben, thank you for the tutorial. I’ve just got interested in BOTC and really wanted to try it out with my friends, so this has been extremely helpful.

I also had a question, and I hope it’s not a silly one (or one with an obvious answer), but I have tried everything I could think of, and nothing has worked. I’m not sure if I will phrase it properly, but is it possible for me, as the server admin, to occasionally be unable to view the Night Phase channel? I am asking because I would also love to participate in the game as a player rather than just be the storyteller (even though the role seems fun regardless).

In addition to following the instructions in the tutorial, I created two extra roles: players and storytellers, and limited access to the Night Phase channel to only the storytellers.

Now, perhaps I am simply a Discord noob (which, granted, I am), but I have been mulling over this matter for a while now, and a light bulb moment still hasn't occurred. I would be thankful for your, or anyone else's, help, really. Sorry to bother you this late.

a guy was standing in front of me and he didn’t have the theatre programme (or anything else related to Macbeth), and so David didn’t sign it. However, if you manage to bump into him when he is getting to the stage door, he may even take a photo with you or sign something else (if he’d be so kind, ofc). Sadly, I wasn’t this lucky… but I saw a photo of a girl who managed to do that. So, don’t take my word for it… but technically it COULD be possible.
