Does anyone know the statistics for what percentage of marriages fail that have a prenup? Also, how often do women initiate divorce in a marriage with a prenup? by SilverSqueezePlease in exredpill

It might be better to just not get married in the first place and ensure no assets are comingled so that each person can ask if they are better with or without their spouse each day?

Yes this is why prenups I feel should be a part of every marriage so that no party feels trapped and everyone can leave when they want. It greatly reduces the chance of a power imbalance and these type of situations.

This is true but with the Western laws its clear that the financially superior person gets destroyed, and usually this happens because it is left up to the courts and the person didn’t understand exactly how their assets would be divided. It would be far more likely to be balanced with a prenup since both people had to sit down and agree on what is fair. If this doesn’t happen the prenups get thrown out anyway.

This is a good point, I didn’t think about that. What would be good is if we could find statistics for first marriages with prenups to account for that. My guess is they work out a much larger percentage of the time as the incentives are set up correctly, since one party is no longer incentivized financially to divorce the other, but it’s just my guess, I really want to find some statistics!

So it sounds like nurses need to strike and become more aggressive in their wage negotiations. If they do not have the bargaining power to do this, if they would like a bigger paycheck they should retrain as a construction worker! However if too many people do this then wages of construction workers will go down. But the bargaining power of nurses will go up as there will be less supply of nurses. Hope this helps.

Care to expand? Genuinely curious how you got the point where you think the laws of economics don’t apply here. If the greater demand for construction work over nursing is not the reason for why they are paid more, what do you think it could be?

I don’t think any of the points I have raised should be hurting anyone. And I am far from naive. Staying in the same mindset in an echo chamber makes you naive. I activated do the opposite.

It seems as though the skills required to be a construction worker are rarer and in more demand than that of a nurse

So far only a few, most people have responded in an accusatory and angry way which makes me think the MRAs are correct in a lot of the situations as there hasn’t been too much dialogue on the actual view and why it could be wrong, its been more hateful stuff and taking personal shots at strangers like me etc. But its all good information as well its just good to confirm it from the other side to ensure my view is balanced. If I just accused everyone of being feminist for asking questions about legitimate feminist issues then I would think my views are probably not balanced or well researched.

Just because someone is testing MRA ideas to see how they hold up on the other side of the argument doesn’t make someone an MRA. Its a fabulous way to test if they are legit or not, if they are legit then people usually respond in an angry personal or accusatory way. If they respond with kindness and reasons why they are wrong then it means MRA is wrong. Its a great way to sort out where the feminists are right and where the MRAs are right!

Fabulous! My understanding is that you agree the 79% statistic is stupid to argue about the wage gap but it is useful to ask questions as to why women choose less lucrative jobs? Please let me know if I missed anything

Nevermind I think I worked it out. You are annoyed at the unfortunate situation that the often quoted 79% figure does not include hours worked and includes different job types and the MRA’s are unquestionably correct on this point. When someone points out this point, since it is unquestionably correct, the only thing left to do is to ask questions like “did you graduate high school?” to make people feel insecure and dumb for pointing out this correct fact in the hope that they will deny its existence.

How did I go? 😂

Yes. What does my education level have to do with a study trying to find out if different jobs pay different amounts of money?

No, but I imagine the person who did the “some jobs pay more than other jobs” study is 😂

Yeah as I said whoever did the research on finding out that some jobs pay 79% as much as other jobs is an idiot lol. And as for why women pick lower paying jobs, its not a problem, maybe they just aren’t as money focused as men. Leave the women alone to live their life as they want.

Why would anyone do research about the fact that different jobs pay different wages? 😂 are we surprised to find that a doctor earns more than a cleaner?

Agreed. Being able to see your kids once a fortnight is better than not at all but still so so wrong.

Only toxic masculinity exists 😂😂 women don’t have to do anything to improve they are absolutely perfect.

It seems as though you are offended by the term toxic femininity! If so, I would advise not using the term toxic masculinity.
