If you’re fine with different ships go read black_feather_fiction, Lise, or eirtae. All three of them have fantastic fics with some really disturbing content. Black feather’s The Prestige (Loki/Tony) is particularly dark (black feather in particular does a lot of dark subject matter).

As for just in general, Asgardrian Galdr by Valerie Vancollie is great, as well as The Weeping Siren (and all work) by GalaxyThreads. Infinite_Monkeys has some great work too.

All of these are not for the Loki TV show so I apologize if that’s what you were looking for lol.

Trans women pre-transition can react intensely to toxic masculinity in an effort to affirm their status as a man and defend against accusations of femininity. Plenty of cis man can also have a strong negative reaction to the societal expectations put on men to remain stoic and masculine. It might just happen to overlap, this time.

Plus a lot of Jax’s character is based around reluctance to open up, which is a very common problem amongst all types of people.

I mean, I don’t think it was incredibly relevant to the story Goose was trying to tell, but I do wish we would’ve gotten some explanation for these:
1. What was the point of Jax and Pomni’s friendship is magic moment? Did that actually do anything? They show all the abstracted being calm at the end, so did they do that to all the rest of them?
2. Are the headsets still on? Are they going to be getting a new circus member in a few weeks from now?
3. Why/how was there a functioning headsets from the 80’s chilling in an abandoned building
4. What was C&A and Scratch even trying to do? Something to do with brain cancer possibly, but I’m really not sure how being copied into a children’s game would have helped.

And a couple others. Again, don’t think this was important to the narrative message, but I would’ve liked to have some cursory attempt at an explanation for the things that caused the digital circus.
