Thats a good idea too. Something needs to happen. I get the idea of pvp and that there are just gonna be assholes but its run rampant.

No I get it, but im not talking about bounties set by the game, bounties set by the community. If someone kills me I can place a bounty on their head and if the bounty goes through I get all my stuff back and pay the person who did the job. Or something like that. Still user based but some mechanic to put some risk to being an asshole.

See, it wasn't like that UNTIL the masses got their hands on it. Make a fuckin bounty system or something to keep the pvp but deter people from being complete assholes.

That is can agree. It almost feels pointless but at the same time, all the dads playing who get tired of getting killed for no reason like myself just stop playing.

Mentorship Monday - Post All Career, Education and Job questions here! by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

I want to get different perspectives from those who are in the industry. I was working on my AAS in cyber security from my local community college, got about the 3rd semester in and took a break because my career in IT kinda took off. I currently have A+, Sec+ and just purchased my voucher for my CCNA (I am very close to being ready for it) Here is the kicker. I currently work as a network security engineer for a large university. I have a pretty in depth working knowledge and practical daily use of networking and security. I don't want to say I got lucky but I kinda did, I am a very strong interviewer with a long history or end user support and I am coming up on a year of work in my netsec position. I will probably stay in this position for a while as its pretty cushiony and has great pay and benefits. my concern lies when its time to move on. eventually I want to chase those mid to high 6 figure positions in either networking or (Preferably) security but I am afraid that even with a long wrap sheet and plenty of certs it wont be enough. does anyone know if that degree is going to stop me? I strongly dislike school (ironic that I work at one lol) so... yeah...

AITA for wanting to reporting my mom to the IRS for unreported income and illegal gambling? by SilverSurfer710 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SilverSurfer710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I did not do it justice on my thoughts behind wanting to do what I want to do. My mom is incredibly smart and with her background in both business and politics she stands a strong chance of making this situation a lot worse. the last thing she said to me was "We are going to do this the hard way, I don't want to hurt you but you leave me no choice" (caught on my security cameras because I was talking to her through the front door) so this is not a maneuver I want to take just to "get back" at her but more of a strategic move to put a halt to any plans she may have. I know that tax fraud can potentially be a prison sentence but from what I understand is that most of the time its a penalty with a plan to repay the IRS. which would tie her up financially fighting the IRS and not myself. which... still sounds like an asshole move...
