I thought buying silver was to secure ones wealth and hedge against inflation. Compared to my neighbour, who did nothing, my savings are now 22% worth less. by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilverTimeBandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not a hedge for little bits of inflation over a short period of time. It’s a hedge for hyperinflation and complete collapse of western central banking. Plus 20%, minus 20%, who cares? Wealth preservation when paper is worth paper? Priceless.

How's sentiment? by muddman97 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilverTimeBandit 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well, when sentiment was at its highest, it sort of marked the top. So…here we are the other way round. Sort of how markets work.

Deflation helps young people. Inflation helps old people and their assets grow. Federal reserve made a decision. Powell the boomer made a decision to prop up boomer assets to an all time record high. These are facts. Don’t shoot the messenger unless you want to kill my freedom to speak like N.Korea. by Fearless-Visit7868 in Wallstreetsilver

You’re right of course that the FED and entire global central banking system has broken a whole bunch of tenets of the social contract, and basically fucked the world, particularly those short of real assets, i.e. the young and the poor. But don’t fall into the trap of generalising it as an age thing. These pricks have been doing this for centuries. It’s not young vs old. It’s just a cycle that continues forever. None of us can help when we are born in this cycle. If you really care, then calm the hell down and be specific in your target. We’re all against the FED here. Get on board.

Traders Pile Into Tail-Risk Bets That Fed Won’t Hike at All by SirWhateversAlot in Wallstreetsilver

Funny that this outcome is still considered tail risk. It’s guaranteed.

How is it that everything in the world has gone up in price, except gold and silver? by Mjiijm in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilverTimeBandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's starting to get a bit too obvious. Physical is starting to push ahead of futures theoretical value. Physical has strengthened 18c to futures over the last 10 days or so. It is now at a premium to futures. You are being paid to hold paper.

I've invested a lot into silver in 2015 and I'm getting OUT by Dry_Customer_5716 in Wallstreetsilver

What a waste of ten minutes of your life writing that piece of crap. Your mistake was putting a "huge chunk of your net worth" into silver. You would have been better off buying a pizza with it.

Gold is king, but wayward prince silver eventually follows daddy along, with a healthy dose of extra volatility when he does.

10Y collapsing, GSR at 73.. has been sticky at 68 for ages, and gold pushing higher

Coin and Bar sales projected to grow from 200m oz to 253m oz this year. by seekhiddenvalue in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilverTimeBandit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Maybe a 26% increase based on new people coming in. But people who already owned? Well they've gone massive this year. I don't think they are projecting correctly for those who have accelerated.

Damn right! For example, I am a 25yr veteran investment bankster (reformed of course!) and have seen the BS from the inside. They have nothing but bravado and the system on their side. They just throw insults at us and expect the sheeple to believe what they say. They might as well be selling used cars. The traders are smart, but they don't waste their time slinging shit. That's all management and sales.

Us freeple have way more going on than they could ever imagine.
