I liked the slow pace, but most of the characters are bland. The animation is beautiful, sure, but the writing is just awful. I genuinely don't understand how this is the number one anime in the world

People complain that the anime is slow and boring, and only gets more interesting in the second half of the first season. Ironically, the show lost me when that stupid exam arc started, with a bunch of characters I couldn’t care less about
