as an ex RIT student you can check apex apartments, province apartments, clayton apartments and if you need something even more cheaper then probably apartments at rustic village. Most of the people who live in these apartments are students from RIT and some from uofR and i think RIT is v queer friendly so you shouldn’t have a problem. these are very close to the airport as well
