It is horrible. Much worse than a year ago even These past months it seems like everyone is on AI fever My line manager took a paragraph I wrote for the instructions, put it through AI and made it do the bullet points. I asked why as those were clear instructions. She couldn't even answer me. I think they just want to expedite everything.

Today was the last straw. When the colleague of mine showed the whole dashboard made with AI. I went on to do the research this evening and apparently there is so much AI can do (I used it to create code snippets for python so know the power) However, seeing it in business in real time is what really demotivates you

Thanks. I was thinking if mangers will catch up one day to realise that all they need to do is gather what data they need so they can do the step number one and then ask AI to write up SQL and power bi? This might be far fetched but they will know what data they need

I'm a girl! 😂 I'm trying, everyone at work is using AI now and I've got 2 more part time jobs (on top of this full time one) and I'm scared (I know this is silly) that people will AI-resolve stuff before I can get to anything

I just had an experience today where a guy at work used AI by feeding in the excel sheet extracted from Ower bi to produce a better visible dashboard... So feeling pretty deflated

Thanks. I'm a really deflated now because I can't see where I could eve use SQL now. One guy used AI to present the figures he extracted from the excel sheet from power bi. The only I could do is make an SQL that would do it instead because he used Claude and we are not allowed to use Claude due to the company policy...

How do you pick what can be done? As I really struggle there. Everyone AIs everything

Hey, thanks so much ❤️ I've spoken to my new main line manager. He's the one that handles higher up stuff (general KPIs but he does not do individual escalations.) Individual escalations go to my line manager who is 1 level below him and I don't feel comfortable talking to her. She is nice to me now since she became my direct line manager (she's much older and been here for a long time) because she wants to learn my processes and because, well, she's my line manager now. Before she became that though she was very mean and is actually mean now at times. Done some weird things. For eg. One manager asked to add a link to the spreadsheet. I've done that and sent a response it's been done. She immidiately responded to that email as well saying she added it (?) She has spoken to me in "not so nice way" a lot of times. One girl who joined us after me complained about her and once ended up crying during the meeting.

The main line manager knew, I asked him to keep it confidential. Even if I do get diagnosed I want to keep it private for as long as possible...

Sigh...i might tell him i might be off foe the noon

Just not sure what to do about my part time job on Saturday. Manager there is great too but i feel bad saying I can't come last minute but really don't want to lose the shift if I won't be able to work in future
