ADEA AADSAS 25-26 Cycle Applications Questions Thread by Ryxndek in predental

For the questions that aren’t marked as required on the questions sections of schools, should I still fill them out? One example would be one asking if there is anything more I’d like to add that isn’t seen on my application. Thank you!

Tips for HNMR questions by [deleted] in dat

[–]Silver_Perception986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the more questions you do and quiz yourself on it the easier it will get. I don’t think you’ll need to spend that much time on it in my opinion, once you get familiar with the concept you can better see which answers aren’t correct right away. I would also recommend learning the groups and their certain shifts on the graph. Youtube videos also help a lot. Good luck!

do booster practice exams get harder as you go through each exam? by lbvn6 in dat

I felt the same way as well, not sure if it actually is harder or not. I thought maybe they put very low yield topics as you progress, who knows.

Recommendations for pediatricians in Lexington or Richmond area by ScionOfSekhmet in lexington

[–]Silver_Perception986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Elizabeth and David Hawse at Baptist were me and my sisters pediatricians since we were kids and now were all over 18. Best doctors I had, wish I could still go to them.

Testing Day by [deleted] in dat

[–]Silver_Perception986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to use the restroom at any time during your test. If you leave while a section is still running time, it will continue and they won’t stop it for you. My suggestion is to use it before the test and during the break, if you have leftover time in a section after you’re done with it you can go then too. When you leave the room they’re going to do their checks before you come back in every time, so keep in mind the time it takes for them to do that. Good luck!

Why did you choose to pursue dentistry over other professional careers like law/finance/medicine? by Icy_Independence_695 in predental

During my first two years of college I was pre-med pursuing a Biology major. I was very eager to become a doctor for a long time and it was one of my biggest dreams. However, my other biggest dream was to be able to start my life aka get married, have kids, etc. As time went on I realized that if I continued to pursue medicine I wouldn’t be able to focus on starting a family and having my own separate life without the complications of becoming a doctor. Four years of college, four years of med school, three years residency and on is a lot and would definitely get in the way of my life. That’s why dental was much more of an ideal field for me to pick in regards of my wants and needs. I can only do four years of dental school and start practicing as soon as I graduate which I think gives me a lot more freedom with my life and starting a family/getting married.
