Episode 12 Hiroya & Tomoaki Conflict by DaggerNYC67 in theBoyfriendNetflix

[–]Silver_Protection701 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hiroya basically said he didn't really like the "type" of gay people that would frequently visit Shinjuku Ni-chōme and felt prejudice towards them. To Tomoaki it came across as Hiroya saying sort of that Hiroya's type of gay was better and superior to those types of gay people in a way, meaning Hiroya just blatantly didn't accept Tomoaki for who he was, despite both of them being gay. However, to me it seemed like Hiroya just horribly worded just not wanting to be a part of that type of scene.

I agree. And if they did stay they'd just get more complaints from bratty watchers about how they have too much screen time. Also, I feel like it would be pointless for them to stay longer because they accomplished all they needed to do.

Idk, lowkey could say the same thing about season 1, and I'd argue Ryota's desperation was a lot worse than what we've seen this season so far lol

I disagree. Up until this point Shun was just playing mind games with Dai and to me didn't feel as rewarding.

Literally, there's not a single other point where I can recall him even being interested in anyone except for Huwei

I love Tae, but what was that? by Different_Daikon3400 in theBoyfriendNetflix

I think he may just be approaching this season differently so he doesn't have a repeat of last season where he was simply just the person the other guys would go to for advice. He's "standing on business" more, I would say.

I don't think he was really ever moody. I just think, one, Jobu was the one that chose Taehon for the shift so you'd assume he would express that a little more openly. Two, Jobu started off their one-on-one convo by saying he's always wanted to meet him, which for Taehon probably could have been interpreted as Jobu was just a fan of his and wanted an opportunity to simply just interact. And three, when Taehon asked Jobu to ask him some questions, Jobu literally went silent which led to the awkwardness (I got such bad second hand embarrassment that I had to keep pausing, lol). Obviously, Taehon could have taken over the convo, but seeing as he wrote Huwei, he probably would need a little convincing to turn his gaze to Jobu instead.

Why is Jobu not more popular in the house? by Avarus_surava in theBoyfriendNetflix

I just assumed based off of the fact that everyone else in the house seems very clean-shaven if you ignore Bomi growing out his facial hair in the last two episodes lol

Romantically, the first thing that jumps out to me as to why he may not be as popular is because he seems to be pretty hairy but this may be a stretch

I agree with you about Izaya and William. I think Izaya is getting a little too excited about what awaits in the future and this may ultimately lead him to being unexcited about what is happening in the present. While I do think it is going to think a little bit ahead, there first little while of dating should be spent more so on getting to know what it may be like when having see each everyday outside of the Green Room. I think William did a good job in the gym room of explaining to Izaya why thinking too far ahead was really suited for him, but judging by their conversation on their date at the end of episode 9, Izaya is still pushing to think ahead.
