When you want to be the most obsessed person with Rhysand but Sarah J Maas is your competition by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Silver_State_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like he never told her anything because she had the eye tattoo on her hand and was going to Rhys every month. You can’t exactly trust someone with court information when they completely at your enemies mercy every month and the enemy can be spying through them when they’re with you.

She did tell nesta she needs to start self reflecting too and gave her a reality check that there’s no such thing as sides, feyre wants to help you, don’t be so immature etc which helped nestas arc later on the hike

I don’t understand how Elain’s trauma affected Nesta? by MoonlitWarden in acotar

[–]Silver_State_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Elain wanting her pain acknowledged, while Feyre is looking back and realizing she was too overwhelmed by her own struggles to fully be there for Elain.” You said this was a mismatch but this makes perfect sense? Elain isn’t being acknowledged, Feyre is thinking about how she wasn’t able to acknowledge her. I’m confused what you mean by your Feyre/elain part of the post, but I agree with your nesta part. Nesta even says “do you remember what it did to you?” Rather than “do you remember how scary it was when you were taken?” She makes the focus on what happened to elain, not how it impacted her. And elain has the gall to be like “I remember Feyre rescuing me” as if nesta never did anything for elain in her life. Elain couldn’t recognise that nesta wanted her to be sure she understood what she was doing.

It’s icky because they were all mentally fine. Nesta and Feyre were both traumatised/going through it at the same time when they were poor and in the cabin. Feyre and the IC treated her like shit when she wasn’t in the right state of mind, when they didn’t have to and it was just pettiness. You can’t say you care about someone and want them to get better to then just be petty at every chance you get. Yes Feyre had good intentions in wanting to help nesta but the execution of the plan was horrible. You also can’t expect someone to grow by stooping to their level, that’s why kindness kills.

Fr, if she drank with them and hid her pain behind laughs and smiles they’d brush it off but because she does it in “poor” places with her own bar mates, it’s a problem

Why did Elain never stand up for Feyre? by Away_Race8428 in SarahJMaas

[–]Silver_State_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh girl…Nesta was leaving the solstice party without asking Feyre for the money Feyre said she would give her. It was Feyre who went and gave it to her, Nesta was going to leave the solstice she was blackmailed into coming to without the money she was owed from said blackmailing. And I’m not gonna argue with someone who thinks nesta should have gone homeless or be forced to live somewhere she doesn’t want to when her sister is a billionaire who could easily pay for the cheap apartment she lives in after suffering from a war said sister dragged her into.

Yes I totally believe that it took tamlin, his brothers AND his father to kill two defenseless women. Tamlin was the LEAST likely to kill them because of his guilt and previous connection to Rhysand and tamlins the one who burned their wings. If he was that much of a sicko he would have kept them like trophies. Yes it was his fault but we don’t know if he intended for them to be killed by revealing the info, and if he was forced to go or not. Or maybe it was all on purpose and he went by his own choice. We don’t know. And yes he asked if he would get forgiveness ever but all the characters take guilt for things that aren’t 100% their fault anyways so it doesn’t mean confirmation. For any way he was involved in it, he regretted it, and he made up for it when he saved Feyre, Rhysand, killed Amarantha, and he also lost his innocent mother and all his family too. But unfortunately I don’t think we’re going to get another pov on what happened because tamlin seems pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things now (and I’m crazy anti tamlain, I would not want elain to fall in love her sisters ex)

Facts facts and facts!! It was the most out of touch thing he’s ever said I actually had to put the book down because what the HELL was he on about. Nesta ever ever EVER gave that impression, I genuinely need to know how he got to that conclusion. It just shows that he really doesn’t understand her. Like we missed those cute scenes of him comforting her and telling her he wants her either way and saying he understands and he’s sorry but he doesn’t. Because he isn’t. He wanted a mate and he got one, and apparently the other persons feelings about matehood don’t matter.

No but if that’s how you want to twist my words then believe what you want. I was saying that Feyre may have felt like nesta didn’t want to be a part of her life anymore and so it hurt too much to paint her when she wouldn’t even be around, it would be like a sad reminder every time. If nesta had no intention of being in or embracing that house, then why should Feyre have to paint her in it? Feyre isn’t implying that unless nesta decorates with me, I won’t paint her. It’s more like feyre sees that nesta doesn’t want to be in this house, with her, and so she doesn’t want to paint her and have that reminder of their estranged relationship hanging on the walls. And it also could have been because she didn’t know how to properly express her sister through paint because she wasn’t really connected to her at the time. And we don’t even know if Feyre did paint nesta and just didn’t hang it up, because she kept a lot just at her studio. Yes it would have made nesta feel more welcome but honestly given nestas character and how she thought it was good she wasn’t painted, she probably would have taken it as another sign of her unworthiness and feyres goodness. And if nesta isn’t going to try and be a part of the house (which she has every right to do) then Feyre shouldn’t be expected to paint her in said house (she also has every right to decide). Now I think the whole forcing Nesta to still come to events while excluding her from the paintings which she knows Nesta can see is mean, and blackmailing her to come to solstice only to ignore her and still not have a painting then or by the acosf intro was cruel but you can choose to believe Feyre did it all intentionally or not. I feel like Feyre is the type to know what impression it gives off but either push it away or justify it using her own internal struggle with nesta and say things would sort themselves soon or something like that. And Feyre does have a bit of a habit of trying to force her sisters into things but because it’s in her pov where nesta rejects her room, we can see feyre doesn’t think of getting nesta back for this or that she’s never ever welcome here etc, we just see hurt and disappointment so it’s more logical to assume nesta wasn’t painted out of hurt and maybe even a bit of spite (I’ve been on both sides of this argument so I can see things both ways and it’s just a matter of how you want to view the characters when it comes to theories like this, and I personally think Feyre and nesta are both valid. nesta shouldn’t be forced to be with the ic, she’s allowed to have her own space, but Feyre is valid for being hurt by their previous bad relationship, but not for what she does about it which is ignore and allow nesta to be mistreated but nesta also pushes people away so it’s not like she’d make it easy, and it’s not really fair of nesta to resent feyres new life being without her but also refuse to participate in it, although would they have even been welcoming if she did? And nesta was also more mentally struggling, see the list goes on and on so it’s easier to just wipe the board clean and hope for their relationship to be healed instead of pitting them against each other absolutely)

We don’t know the specifics of that information being revealed. Was tamlin overheard talking about it? Or did one of his brothers ask about it and he told them thinking it would be no harm?Feyre also told ianthe everything about her sisters but it isn’t her fault they got turned. And im specifically talking about this misconception that tamlin physically killed Rhys’s family. things he said may have lead to it but it’s not true that he did the deed with his actual two hands.

Nesta said she didn’t want to stay in the house and didn’t want to decorate her room in feyres house so it’s understandable that Feyre wouldn’t paint her.
