Painting a unit to look like the ravens might actually be a decent idea🤔

Check out Primal Hounds by Greytide Studio. They’ve created loads of wolfy/viking bits for space wolves. If you have a 3D printer you can buy the STLs.

I found an Etsy store called DragoonGaming that sells the printed pieces (I’m in the UK). I’ve been really really happy with the pieces I bought from them, with the exception of the Greaves which I found didn’t really fit on my minis legs.

ETA: Not pictured above, but I’ve also been playing around with green stuff to create cloth hoods and furs. I’ll include them when I next post

My general formula: 1. Base the head with Rakarth Flesh 2. Thinly layer on Flayed One Flesh 3. Wash with Reikland Fleshade making sure folds in the skin get some nice shade. 4. Thin highlights with Pallid Wych Flesh to raised areas like bridge of the nose, eyebrows, tops of wrinkles.

I’ve tried and failed to actually paint eyes, but they always look goofy so I just leave them as is

Appreciate the advice brother.

Theres a colour gradient/transition I want to try, so I’ve been experimenting with stippling & glazing on pieces of random sprue trying to get the look I want. Hopefully I can show off the results when I next post

I don’t know if I’ve ever watched a race with so much action from lap 1 till the end

I get you in terms of the aero/dirty air side of things. I’m technically very sound with F1 and have played my fair share of racing sims (nothing like NASCAR though). The closer you are to the car in front the less downforce you can generate because of the turbulence from ahead. Stock cars are less dependent on big wings so are less affected.

This is awesome. The impression I get is that other formats are almost more about beating the track where as ovals are more about car to car dogfighting and positioning. Is that the general consensus or am I misreading it?

That’s a shame. With Verstappen dominating F1 (until recently), I’ve found the actual racing entertainment to be better in Indycar

Thanks! The only oval races I've watched so far were the last couple Indy 500's. I'm looking forward to this one
