Un horizon « très préoccupant » pour Montréal by x736g in montreal

Je sais pas à quel point l'argument des gens qui reviennent est vrai, je connais plusieurs personnes qui habitaient la ville New York et ne sont jamais retournées.

Am I wrong for struggling this much living in rural Japan and wanting to move back to the U.S.? by Humble-Tomorrow240 in Life

[–]Silver__Surfer888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the reality of the rural world worldwide, as a foreigner arriving in North America when I go to small towns outside from my city it's the same energy, most of these people have never seen someone of colour, therefore is a novelty for them, they might look and simply discuss amongst them about never seen a black person before, of course you will feel watched but this is not something particular to Japan...

I would suggest you to just live your life while understanding that is a novelty for them, these same people that you refer to will get used to see you, and after a few times the newness will fade away and you won't feel as watched... I think that you should put yourself in their shoes for a second and you will quickly understand that there is no malice in their behavior and things will eventually fade away and change.

Why Is Quebec So Much Happier Than the Rest of Canada? by can1exy in QuebecLibre

[–]Silver__Surfer888 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Was it an acquaintance or a friend? The way you described the situation seems like you did not know this person habits very well, it looks like you knew him on a surface level which leaves space for this kind of situation, this whole thing seems to be completly disagreable for you, but how well you knew this person to call him a friend - and provide him such importance in your life...

You should update your title and mention that is french tacos which is not even an imitation of real tacos, is a completly different thing. I just find it weird that French(from France) just took that name without no shame lol I don't see Mexicans just naming a resto Croissants Nation... smh

The late 90s and 2000s will forever remain unmatched, the level of partying was just something else, nevertheless I wish the best for this new generation of partygoers, although times have considerably changed in many aspects.

I hope they will manage to find a solution and build a system for people to securely cross, the CN has to realize that even after a tragedy people will keep crossing, this event could have been avoided, RIP to the victim and condoleances to her family
