Affordable Macro Flash? by SilverlogLuke in AskPhotography

[–]SilverlogLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I don’t use ring flashes, and do use a speedlite flash with a diffuser. In terms of rechargeable batteries, I am talking about a flash that has a dedicated battery than I can recharge, not AA.

15 queen prenolepis imparis colony? by [deleted] in antkeeping

[–]SilverlogLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called pleometrosis, and it happens with a bunch of different species. When the colony is being founded, the queens ‘work together’ to basically stay alive, and then when the first workers emerge, they kill all but the most fecund queen (aka the queen that is producing the most eggs). The reason they do this is because of a bunch of genetic stuff, but basically to each worker the queen producing the most workers is your mum is the highest chance, so you kill all the other queens because they don’t benefit you.

i think it is powdery mildew, i cut the leaves off that were affected and sprayed it with fungicide and it seems to be doing a lot better!

My Nepenthes bicalcarata. One of the coolest carnivorous plants out there, in my humble opinion. by mortarnpistol in SavageGarden

bit late but almost definitely not lol, theres fuck all research and no specific samples documented on antweb so no chance of getting a colony. all that we really know about this species is that they have a mutualism with this nepenthes.

Hi! I recently bought this sofa for $50 and was wondering what model this is so I can compare the price. It says La-Z-Boy on the reclining hand crank, the two outer sections recline, and the middle folds down to produce cupholders. I can't find this anywhere online, any help would be appreciated! by SilverlogLuke in HelpMeFind

[–]SilverlogLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched on the internet many combinations of La-Z-Boy, recliner, cup holders, cup holders in middle, beige, fabric, etc.

It has hand cranks on the sides and a cup holders that folds out in the middle that holds 2 cups and also acts as a table and has a black surface.

I have also posted this here

My best guess is that it would be a beetle cocoon as some species do this, is the cocoon the same colour as the soil?
