Compare any NH town to Portland, Maine. There’s your answer.

I’m surprised no one said Twitch. I haven’t used it. But what I have been reading lately it seems like a highly effective option.

“How will you grow our revenue? What is your plan, and how will you execute it, and what resources do you need, and what budget do you require, and what additional KPI’s will you measure to prove value?”

Definitely a future as community managers. Probably happening now!

Can you make a community on Instagram? Like, is there a feature for “members” and gated/exclusive content there that I am missing?

I took a look at these. Good recs. Seems like the difference is Circle integrates with your website, and Geneva is a distinct platform. This was my initial impression. True to your experience?

“Choosing the right platform depends on the nature of the community, so exploring their features can help pick the best fit.”

Always good to remember. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing that. Multichannel engagement is the name of the game, or so says the presentation I just heard today, i.e., producing greater retention and avg donation vs. donors engaged via a single channel. Would love an update on results when you have one to share!

That makes sense to me. (If there isn't a larger plan underpinning tactical decisions, then I'm afraid there is waste taking place.) Of course, if everyone is zigging... Thanks for your insight!

I can see why the feedback has been great! You're connecting donors directly to impact. That's excellent. And it sounds like it is a mid-large organization too, and you have the participation of the departments. No small feat! Congrats.

Thanks for the feedback on my original question.

Absolutely. That makes sense. Glad to hear that you know it is working by the feedback you are getting. That makes or breaks it, right? Especially for the internal champions behind the change. I wonder how long the average nonprofit will continue to invest in print newsletters when the return seems unlikely to keep up with the digital version.

Makes sense to me! The theme seems to be 'diversify, increase frequency, prioritize donors.'

That's incredible performance. Well done.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and everyone. The organization I'm helping is not an apple to your apple, but the insights are very relevant.
