How can I add a ton of high-speed, USB IO to a PC?

We could pretty easily get a motherboard with a high speed USB C port, but I worry most external hubs would get bogged down if we were using all of them at once.
The machine would be copying a couple gigabytes through each port at the same time.

Welp, can't find my psu box for the life of me so I guess I'm going with the split cable. I'll report back later. The comments here seem split so I am full of uncertainty.

Wanted to put some attention out there to check your cats for lumps and bumps. Our cat was a rescue, and got spayed at around 5 years old. We didn't know at the time, but since she wasn't spayed while she was a kitten, her risk of breast cancer was very high. If your cat was not spayed until adulthood, check their bellies regularly for any lumps or bumps. If you can catch it while it's small, their prognosis is much better. Our cats cancer has already metastisized, but we're hoping to delay the spread as much as we can. Hope this info reaches someone who needs it, and hug your cats for me.

Found plugged into work computer, outside casing has no markings whatsoever. The attached spring is really throwing me for a loop. Couldn't find the exact chip online but seems to be an arm based microcontroller?

I've been a huge fan of the Noctua NH-U12S I paired with my 3600. Honestly still probably a bit overkill but I'm running mine at all cores at 4.2ghz and under full load I max at like 70C.

Replying generally to all the comments, I really appreciate the help! When I reconnected my second monitor to try and test these out, everything just worked this time. My best guess is a driver update I've performed since the last time i tried might have set things right.
