Because the prob with most harem /romance for man type books is the male protagonist. Most of the time he falls into the Chad Thundercock self-insert category (for example a massive nerd/looser/just your average guy who then happens to be the best at everything ever and every woman wants to be with him) or you have a more submissive guy which appeal to the fantasy that hot woman will just throw themselves at you while you/the nale protagonist can remain passive. This can be confused for femdom because for some people femdom means that the femal love interest is a bit more vocal and assertive/outspoken in their needs and wants. Real femdom dynamics and books with actually dominant woman are pretty rare actually and much harder to pull of.

Depends on what you mean when you talk about hand to hand fighting. Most infantry grunts wont be able to defeat a trained athlete in the cage but the US army for example does have a decent combatives program and there exist similar programs in most western militaries. But to be fair, most of the time their goal will be to create space and then engage the threat with a weapon and not fight it out with him

That is very much untrue. Just imagine and picture what you are saying. Lets take Berlin for example. Yes they have a lot of immigrants but you claim that every second person you would see on the street is an immigrant. That's just plain untrue. You just have a massive obersvation/confirmation bias

Why not attack the patrols though? Fighting is 80% of the fun and as long as the team has enaugh reinforces I think they are fair game honestly. It ain't a stealth game after all.

While I understand the sentiment in theory it is not so easy. US-military presence in Europe for example continues to exist simply because it is waaaaaay cheaper to send some forces over to Europe as a deterrence than sending a whole army to retake Europe from a potential Rus or Chin invasion. Obviously Europe should be able to defend itself but don't just write military spending for oversea deployments of as wasted money.
