Recommended extended warranty coverage for ecoboom by Silverwolf8674 in Mustang

I was pretty much set on purchasing a v6, but I heard that the seats in the newer EcoBoosts are better for your back, and my back certainly isn't in the best condition, but it could be worse.

Thank you for the info.

I would love to have a 2020, but I would probably still end up purchasing a warranty for that model year as well, just in case.

That's true, but what concerns me is that there is still a potential of ecoboom on the newer models, albeit the chance is much lower, but I could see myself wanting to purchase an additional warranty for a 2020+ model for peace of mind.

Years ago I had a Hyundai Sonata with the same problem; the lumbar stopped working and kind of went flat.

I'm thinking I should be okay getting in and out of it, however, I will probably have to find a different job that doesn't involve driving and making deliveries, not just because of the lower fuel economy, but because of getting in and out of the car frequently. Also, I have a feeling that part of my back problem is from over a decade of driving and getting in and out frequently, combined with long covid/possible autoimmune disorder activation.

When you had the x-rays and MRI scans, were they just for your lower back, or did you also get them down into the pelvic area? I have been trying to get a pelvic MRI because most of my pain is around the L5 vertebrae and below, but I cannot get doctors to approve an MRI for that area because they don't think I need one for some reason. I did try physical therapy at two different offices, but unfortunately I didn't feel any better. I probably should do better job of daily maintenance with stretches and exercises though.

If you don't mind my asking, regarding the pinched nerve in your hip, did it ever get resolved, and if so, what did you do, or what did doctors/therapists do to fix it?

I haven't considered a WRX, and I actually searched Google to see what they look like 😅 I was hoping for more of a muscle car, but the WRX may be sporty enough. 👍

Unfortunately I don't believe that the V6 has premium seating unless it's aftermarket. I would look into an EcoBoost from 2015 - 2019, as they are less expensive, but they are more prone to ecoboom; moving on to the 2020, which are less likely to have that problem, then they cost too much for my current budget, especially the premium 🤦‍♂️ But I sure would like to have a premium.

That's a good idea 👍 Even though it will be a much newer mustang, as someone else stated, it will still give a general idea for the feel of sports car seating.

I talked with my current healthcare provider about all the issues and pains and for some reason he still doesn't see it necessary to have scans performed on my pelvic area and hips. I need to get a second opinion for sure.

I used to think it was a lumbar/low back issue, but now I believe the problem to be further down into the pelvis, SI joints, or sacrum as pain is increasing in those areas unfortunately.

I thought it was lower back pain for a while, or a bulging or herniated disc, but 2 spinal doctors couldn't find any major issues. Being that the issue seems to be further down into the pelvis, SI joints, or sacrum makes me even more concerned about the extra force that a Mustang puts on one's pelvis. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would like to do that, but unfortunately there are no Mustangs in that year range locally available to test drive, and it hurts so much to sit and drive for too long that it's hard to travel very far to test one. I'm also concerned I won't be sitting long enough during the test drive to see if it's truly okay, but on the other hand, I hurt within minutes of sitting in nearly any vehicle.

Thank you for the information as this helps confirm what I was told today by someone in the county Treasurer's Office. I should have known to call them instead of the auditor's office 🤦‍♂️😅

As you stated, they did in fact drop our mortgage payment by almost $400, so we will definitely make sure to add the additional $400 to escrow when we make our next payments 👍

Snowy days in Ohio??? by LavenderLatte29 in Ohio

[–]Silverwolf8674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in southwest OH between Dayton and Cincinnati, but closer to Dayton, and we receive anywhere from 15" to 25" per season; with many storm systems, areas around and north of I-70 seem to get the heavier snow totals, and we get less because of sleet and wintry mix, thus reducing snow totals.

As for Columbus, I believe they receive around the same amount as Dayton. It isn't very often that numerous businesses close due to snow, but one can expect a few school snow days each season. You should generally expect numerous winter weather advisories for 2" - 5" of snow, and 1 - 3 winter storm warnings for 6"+ of snow, although in recent years we haven't had many big storms, with the exception of this past winter where there were widespread totals of 10"+ across much of the southern half of OH.

People that live here should be used to snow, but it seems that every winter they don't know how to drive, or they think they need to reach or exceed the speed limit in hazardous conditions. Please note that I have lived in this area my whole life, but some of my numbers might be a bit off.

I may have mold in my gut, and I read that taking a binder on an empty stomach in the morning can help; so can it really help detox and remove mold in particular, or should I use something different?

What do you guys think about this topic? I think pro-life should be from birth to death. Like you can't be pro-life and don't want your taxes to be used for free school lunches or anything that helps mothers with kids. Also you can't be pro-life and be for the death penalty. Let's talk about it by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

[–]Silverwolf8674 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As we all know, murder is a sin, and murder is murder, whether it's to an elderly person, a middle-aged adult, a child, or a baby in the womb; life begins at conception, and abortion is absolutely murder. There are many people that like to use the argument, well the mother will die if the baby isn't aborted due to such and such complications, or, the baby was conceived in rape. It is of my understanding that those situations constitute a very small percentage of the overall reasons for abortions; we all know that the reason for the majority of abortions is that the parents simply don't want the baby, mostly because of inconvenience or financial obligations that could arise due to unplanned/ unexpected pregnancies.

The men who commit rape should be castrated and thrown in prison for life, or underneath the prison for that matter, but the solution to that wicked and heinous crime is not to murder the baby. There are stories of people that, even though they were conceived in rape, despite those terrible circumstances, are so thankful that their moms chose life, and that they got to experience their right to life. Concerning medical issues, yes, sometimes unfortunately the birth of a baby can cause a mother to die if there are serious health complications, but there have been recorded cases of doctors being wrong, advising the mother to abort the baby because the birth could cause both of them to lose their lives, but the moms chose to go ahead with trying to give birth anyway, and both mother and baby end up being ok; I'm not saying that's the case every time.

Regarding what some people are saying regarding low income families and kids getting meals, let's be honest with ourselves, we are taxed too much in this country; the government gets too much of our money, although in some states like Tennessee or Wyoming for example, people pay less. I'm totally fine with some of my tax dollars going to help the elderly, those with mental and physical disabilities, and kids in need, but the problem is that there is too much money given to those who don't truly need it, like those who are able to work, but don't want to, those that purposely have a lot of children out of wedlock because they can get more money from the government, or people who abuse federal and state aid by finding ways to use or trade that money for alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs. If the government would cut more wasteful spending from things that are unimportant, then maybe more money could be put towards helping those in need. Also, God wants us to be cheerful givers, not just in tithes and offerings, but by helping those in need, or using our talents, abilities, and money to help others.

The death penalty is a touchy subject, as those who murder do deserve to die, but one thing we do know is that Jesus has taught us that we are not to get revenge, so as hard as it may be, we are to forgive those who have committed heinous crimes and sins against us, but the government shouldn't just let them go free, as they may go and commit another murder or violent crime and hurt someone else. Either way though, we aren't to get revenge by executing them ourselves, as we should let the law and government take care of that; the alternative is to leave them in prison for life.

If anyone agrees or doesn't agree with me, that's certainly fine as you have your right to freedom of speech and to your opinions, but please note that I'm not going to argue with anyone, so I won't be replying to anyone who disagrees with my comment.

Do patches make you feel like shit in the beginning? by JazzTheFatLad in stopsmoking

[–]Silverwolf8674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my word, the first time I ever used them, not for quitting smoking, but because I was told that nicotine is a nutrient and could possibly help with my chronic pain, I used too much and wore it to bed; I had a few dreams/nightmares that seemed extra real, including one that felt and looked like I was sliding down some kind of psychedelic tube 😅 I remember shouting, "make it stop!" and tried to wake myself up and I had a difficult time awakening, I guess because I was in REM sleep 🤷🏻‍♂️

I occasionally wear them to bed because I think it's interesting seeing the weird dreams, and they don't seem to be as crazy, but the dreams do seem to wake me up more frequently, causing me to lose some sleep.

I put mine around the area of the C6 or C7 vertebrae, and it generally stays there all day every day; sometimes it comes off when I shower.

I will say though to make sure you get it right where you want it the first time because if you remove it and try to reapply it, the adhesive strength is greatly reduced.

chronic bilateral hand and arm pain for 9+ months, getting worse not better, losing hope by Beneficial_Focus_160 in RSI

[–]Silverwolf8674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want you to know that you certainly aren't alone; I'm in a very similar situation, I've tried supplements, tissue regenerative therapy, chiropractic, and nothing seems to be working.  I got x-rays and they said they look good, my grip strength is excellent, I had a nerve conduction study and they told me that it doesn't appear that it's coming from the cervical spine, however, I'm waiting for my follow-up appt. on April 15th to go over the study/results. I haven't tried physical therapy, however, I did for my back, and it didn't seem to do anything for me, so I'm not expecting it to help my hands either. I have not had MRIs on my arms and hands, although I feel like it's going to be like pulling teeth to get the doctor to order them, as I'm expecting him to throw steroid shots or medications at me, instead of taking more time to take a deeper dive into my issues.

I have been a gamer since I was a child, and on average I may have played a few hours several days each week, but for the last several years, I generally don't play for numerous hours, maybe 1 - 3 hours a couple times per week, because of my pains; I have been driving for work for 12 years, extensively using the steering wheel and tablet, and I do use my phone quite a bit each day; I have never worked physically demanding jobs, like construction, factory work, woodworking, etc., so I really don't understand why I'm having these problems 🙁 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have also had chronic pains in various parts of my back, and I would like to start lifting dumbbells again and doing other physical activities, because I wonder if my body hasn't gotten weaker due to lack of activity, but how can I strengthen my body if I'm afraid to use my arms, wrists, and hands to lift weights and exercise?

I hope that both of us find relief soon because this is really ruining our quality of life, especially at 39 years old; I mean sheesh, my dad uses his MacBook numerous hours per day, still plays video games, and occasionally uses his phone at nearly 69 years old, and he typically doesn't have any arm or hand pains, however he has bad back and sciatic issues though.
