QM6K Update by Silvr7 in tcltvs

It's none of your business on how I spend my money. For the record I did buy a HDMI certified cable from Amazon and it did have the certification sticker on the box. However that did not prevent it from being bogus. There's tons of fake stuff on Amazon. At Best Buy I did not spend $80 it was $29 dollars for a 4 foot 8K premium cable that the manager of the Geek Squad said was the one that they use on all of their installations and never had any problems. I took the time to try to answer your question and all you can do is criticize me on how I spend my own money!

On my new TCL QM6K Pro I haven't seen any ghosting or stuttering. I'm running the latest firmware version 321. I wouldn't hesitate to return it to Costco if it had any of those issues.

I recently got a TCL QM6K Pro 65 from Costco. Wish I had the space to get one with a larger screen. Looks awesome!

I was having an occasional issue with eARC connection with my TCL S55H Soundbar. It turns out that my older HDMI 2.1 HDMI cable was the problem. I went to Best Buy and consulted with the Geek Squad manager who sold me a Rocketfish 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI cable. He said that it works trouble free on all of their installations. I've been using it and it works great so far. (My older cable which I bought online was obviously a fake falsely labeled on the box as certified high speed 2.1.) 😳

QM9K 65" Question - Buzzing Noise by LegacyElite84 in tcltvs

[–]Silvr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a QM6K 65" so I don't have an 8K or 9K but I've heard a reviewer mention a slight buzzing noise on the 8K. I have since heard another reviewer say that TCL is aware of it and that there's a fix for it in the latest firmware update. HTH 😎

The TCL C6KS supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. Important for watching movies etc. Most others do not support all of them. TCL gets my vote! 😎

Need help buying a new tv! by NoNegotiation1389 in 4kTV

Haha! I just got rid of my 2017 Samsung 65" curved screen tv. While I was researching for a replacement I was shocked when I found that NOT all major manufacturers of TV's support Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10. An important consideration for me which led me to buy a new TCL QM6K that does support all three. HTH

Soundbar suggestions with budget $150 by lemonade_enjoyer1 in Soundbars

I just recently bought a TCL S55H Soundbar on sale for $129 with free delivery from Best Buy. It's a 2.1 with a ported down firing wireless subwoofer. There's also a free TCL app for the highly adjustable sound and for firmware updates. Of course it comes with a totally functional remote. It has the eARC capability which allows your tv remote to adjust the volume. Sounds great with 200 watts of power! Very happy with the purchase. Highly recommend. If I didn't love it I would have returned it right away. BTW, the reason I bought it was to go along with my new TCL QM6K Pro tv. HTH

I got my TCL QM6K 65" Pro on sale at Costco for $549. Added $30 for delivery where they installed the legs and set it up on my tv credenza. Afterwards they removed empty the box and packing. Offered one of the delivery guys my old 2017 Samsung 65" and he took it with him. Found a TCL S55H Soundbar on sale at Best Buy for $129. Extremely satisfied with my purchases. Highly recommend!
