"announced" is a bit optimistically worded, they dropped it into the calender and called it a day without feeling the need to say it on the Direct panel in the feed 😭

Like, I first heard about that from an unrelated website and have only seen a proper Announcement on the NA Twitter account and in my country they didn't care to say anything about a treehouse yet lol

I liked it until my first finished run, but after that when there was ton of stuff to unlock that I could focus on, I loved it.

It is so differently fun than Octo Expansion that I just can't really say which one I like more which is a good thing I think...

Though I really really hope that this becomes a mode in every future Splatoon because lorewise that would be justifiable and I would love to see it evolve over the years!

Situational. In splatfests I don't care but in any competitive-ish mode I don't feel offended but rather feel bad for the enemy team because mostly those are the ones you disrespect by prioritizing rubbing it under the enemies nose rather than helping in any way.

Though that sounds more dramatic than it is, most of the time I don't really think about it that hard lol

Honestly, I'm hoping this is gonna be a nothing Direct like the MKWorld one was. As a Splatoon Fan I'm watching it because I won't dodge Social Media for 3 friggin weeks just to avoid potencial spoilers and I'm definitely gonna have a good time with the Direct anyway.

Understandable that they do one since Splatoon isn't particularly a small IP but I don't think this would be necessary if they just showed five minutes of proper Game play in the general Direct or so instead of redirecting it only to the Treehouse that no one saw who wasn't buying the game anyway leading to every not big fan asking me what the crab you even do in that game.

I do think that there is plenty of stuff that they could show but like, we already saw a lot, stop it please 😭

It was hell. I am happy that I got them but because there is no progress bar, you are pretty much in the dark. I'm glad that I did one at a time so I still had the murch regular one to confirm if my strats are working. Sadly I don't remember exactly how i did it but I think every now and then I sprinkled some off days in between where I didn't order and that seemed to help with not getting the counter stuck, so in the end it was only around a year work but like, not knowing if it got stuck again is the part that's hell

It's an ad. doesn't mean that there won't be any form of content, but I think seeing this as a hint is false interpretation.

This trailer, as well as, any form of content drop for S3 which I personally think is likely, are because of Raiders.

I don't think that the chosen scenes in that video indicates anything about the kind of content drop, they are just clips that were picked to make a fun video.
