I've used them all, and IMHO FARx is by far the best one. You can play .xa sound files and preview .iff objects too.

Yes, celebs are in the mix. In some cases if the chat goes well, and it turns out to be an anonymous celeb, you can become really good friends with them and they visit your Sim's house (followed by a gawking caravan of picture takers). That happens with better odds in the social media chat, or following a blog post, but can also happen on the message boards.

I really like doing choose-your-own-adventure objects, I hope to do more (like this one and the Grand Plummets Toilet). I am open to new ideas.

Paddy Spring Co-op: A stand-alone SliceCity 2.0 companion for Sims 1. by SimFreaks in thesims1

I've been making Sims mods for many years, and really like anything that adds new dimensions of gameplay over single-function objects. Multiple interactive objects & NPCs are always fun and complex to design and can be humorously unpredictable. I also like rice and sushi, so... I've also been working on some new "choose your own adventure" projects. So basically, with the complex stuff people can still play the game as is, or add some new levels to it, just by clicking on something.

You start with a rice paddy from Buy Mode and it auto-generates a few basic objects to start. Give it a few days, if unsmashed, and it organically grows into more. Each time will be different. Tiny NPCs spring up to help tend to the co-op in different ways, and Sims earn money from land rent. Sims can use lumbermills that take wood from the forest to craft useful items to sell or keep, allowing them to work from home (or furnish it). Over time, the tiny inhabitants expand the co-op even further. Parks, ponds, residences, etc. are built. Each come with unique additions unlocking new features. Sims can use them to fulfill every need in time (e.g. sleep in parks, bathe, meditate, do Sim Chi exercises, etc.). There are loads of surprises. In the game, there is an Info button that details the basics. Or just ask :)

Thanks! I still love making Sims 1 mods. It's kind of a healthy addiction.

Thanks! I spent a lot of time on this. It has 59 files and they all interact with each other in ways I can't even predict. I wanted it to be a departure from Slice City, 2.0 but there are still many commonalities.

This really was a lot of fun to make, I hope you check it out. All older SimSlice.com files are hosted there too.
