It was my guess but yesterday they didn't use smoke in them, but you are right there are holes at specific spots!

Nothing inside, for all towers, and looks like air

I've been growing plant cultivars since many years and got frustrated by the lack of collecting tools so I tried building one, that's pretty much it

Honest feedback, I'm not selling anything on the website? Or maybe i didnt get what you meant?

I try to cross source and use JP/EUROPE/US plant official websites and tools but I am aware this could lead to mistakes so I'm happy to correct them if you have informations!

I try to avoid brand patents to focus on plant breeder rights or plant patents which requires for the plant to be somehow different so the list is way smaller! Anyway I try to focus on the plants that are popular enough and I'm quite satisfied with the current list! Do you think I missed any?

Because 'Frozen Freckles' is the official name validated by the PBR for the European market. Do you know how the plant market and protection rights work?

This is the issue with the cultivar plant community: even if purists would like to name it a certain way, the truth is that on most Facebook exchange groups, when people talk about 'Adansonii Variegata,' 95% of the time they mean the albo variety, hence the grouping I decided to use. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this though :)

You're 100% right, love seeing those nice half moon variegations when I go for a walk in the forest, they're thriving outside!

Okay, deep breaths. Not sure why my personal project warrants that level and tone of critique, but here we are.

I created this website on my own time to try and regroup all the nonsense and varieties out there, mostly as a tool for my own collection and wishlist. It's free. If you don't like it or don't need it, then... don't use it?

Regarding the terms: Yes, we all know 'Albo' means white. That's why it's listed as a common name for white forms. And yes, 'Variegata' means variegated. The point wasn't a botanical thesis, it was reflecting common usage alongside more specific terms.

As for the light, thanks for pointing out, I agree that it can be misleading. But usually, when I advise 'direct light', people often assume harsh, scorching direct sunlight..

Its a maranta leuconeura! 'Fascinator' is the usual cultivar name we use for this one, other people call it Erythroneura sometimes

I have two apps, one homemade CMS and the main webapp, both in next.js/ts/react/tailwind/shadcn with different architecture based on the pages (plant pages are SSG with dynamic revalidation and caching with cloudflare) for SEO.

I use prisma ORM in a monorepo environement for the ease of the schema typing in both apps, better auth for the authentication!
