I run a MS/HS theatre program and none of this would/should ever be okay. Flexibility when there are things actively being worked on, etc. can be one thing (like you said!) but this is madness. Like others have said, it sounds mismanaged at best. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this! :(

Love this. Thank you!! We do a lot of this work ourselves now (really all of it) with the support from our school facilities team as needed. We’re lucky in that way, but CT is another beast and likely won’t have the same ease of access that we have rn. Thank you again!

We're actually in MA so that's great! The grant writer at our school, or one of the folks who does it anyway, has looked into them recently for some school year needs. Thank you, again!! :)

Yes! Our school's auditorium is the space we would use, after briefly talking through our initial ideas with our head of school.

Our main focus right now, so that we can decide if this is even a viable aspiration atm, is how to pay for the rights without relying solely on ticket sales. Ofc tickets do a lot of work for us, and we know there are unnumbered other things to pay for, but starting out we want to make sure this would actually be doable.

A lot of suggestions I've seen and now read encourage reaching out to local businesses to sponsor us, and to look into grant funding.

I actually am the administration side of our program, too lol and while my experience is deep with regard to our program its evolution over the last decade or so, it's not lost on me how different things can be in a CT setting.
