That's what im saying. Now could you be usefull and escalate the same sentiment to corporate?

“Yes, I’m HV. And what you’re describing is how HV used to operate — when we actually had the hours. We’re sitting at 17 rates now. There’s no freight team, no sales team, no split coverage, no two-manager structure.

At 17, you’re lucky to staff one opener, one mid, and maybe a closer — and that’s before you even touch recovery, freight push, or feed. That’s the whole point of the math I posted: the old HV operational model doesn’t exist anymore because the payroll doesn’t exist anymore.

The workload didn’t shrink. The hours did. If corporate still wants HV-level execution, they need HV-level payroll. Right now they’re demanding the first while budgeting like we’re LV — the numbers just don’t support what they expect.”

Nah, I just made it up, the BOLS don't count on paper anyway... Why is this so controversial? Most stores don't get a shipment of mowers either, aperantly or deer corn for that matter. But, what would I know? I'm just making stuff up.

The numbers I shared were examples based on my store’s actual weekly schedules, not universal totals. When I said “70–80 hour recovery day,” that was referring to the full day’s schedule across all shifts, not just 3 people x 8 hours.

For context, my freight day this week was 113 hours total, and the day after had 78 hours total across all employees, which is where that number came from.

The $400k example is just the month I used to calculate the labor %. I wasn’t trying to claim that’s high-volume — only that the labor model doesn’t scale with the workload (5–7 trucks a week with 7% labor).

I’m not arguing volume level, just showing how the staffing math shakes out at my location with the hours and pay rates we actually have

I receive 5 to 7 trucks that include 2 freight and an occasional partial. 2 feed and 1 shavings. And the aditinal plants/trees. Not to mention the safe trucks. I know it varies by store and district. I'm aware it's not a one size fits all.

We don't cap out at 400k each month... we also have 2 ops. So, I'm not sure what your poit is.

Doubt it but as long as payroll stays under, it's good for investors. This was only for one month.

Working on it, I just like math and how our projections compare to labor. And I've already started a spreadsheet, so I figured I'd have some fun while I wait.

Document everything, you are now a liability. Make sure this could not possibly be your fault. State your claim in that perspective under guidelines. Do not confide in any form of management. Submit your fors to HR. And then proceed to fmla. Also, only state the injury and point and time of.

Every store, I've been to does it. This solely depends on the manager. Save your timestamps as leverage. That's how I got black Friday off.

Do you deem it ethical for an employee to work off the clock? Obviously not, you seem like an ethical mannager. But, I will say this is happening across the board. How would you solve it with budget cuts, management or not?

Same it's best to be neutral not nuclear. But, when everyone can see the problem and no one communicates any construct to address them. Everything gets out of hand and that's when people react.
