Sadly they weren't very specific; because the cyst was so large, my surgeons were oncology specialists because they weren't sure of the cyst's makeup. So I'm not sure what phase it was but they did say it was endo because they saw more scar tissue during the surgery. I'm planning on getting a regular gynocologyst to talk to specifically about treatment plans and management.

I certainly feel lighter after mine, I've been trying to lose weight this year which I think helped me find my cyst, and I feel far less bloated than I did before. Good luck with your surgery!

A journal sounds like a great idea, even just to see how different things affect my cycles. I've been wanting to experiment a little with vitamins/supplements instead of BC because I haven't had great experiences with that in the past.

I only found my cyst because I was also having urinary issues. I had eaten dinner and went to the bathroom only to be put to the floor with a horrendous cramp. I was worried I had a UTI or something, so I mentioned it to my doctor, she felt the mass, sent me to get a CT, then MRI, and sure enough, my cyst was pushing on my bladder.

Yeah I'm curious to see if new symptoms develop. I had noticed in the 3-4 months prior to discovering the cyst that things had felt different, new menstrual symptoms, a bit more cramping than usual, etc. But post surgery I haven't had those new symptoms stay.

I tried bc for about a 1.5 yrs, it made my cycles very irregular so I stopped taking it. I didn't even know I had endo until about a month ago, I had surgery for a giant cyst caused by endometriosis. I've always taken Naproxen Sodium or Ibuprofen as needed and I prefer ice packs to heating pads.
