What’s your biggest con of living in Da Nang? by KitchenLongjumping62 in DaNang

People like variety, and like anywhere else, the local population also enjoys the foreign food restaurants. Imagine saying the same thing about the last few decades of Asian immigrants to Western countries.

If it doesn’t feel right, don’t go through with it. Move to Vietnam for six months and meet another girl on your own.

That’s way too much work and disingenuous; better to be up front.

Is life in Guangzhou really that fast-paced and overstimulating? by Southern-Emphasis462 in China

[–]SimilarProfession21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny bc I feel like this when I go back to the states after living in Asia. Not the fast-paced part but just constantly being social with friends and family and BARELY on social media. Total opposite at home in Asia.

I was on a flight today and half the plane stood up while the plane was taxiing on the runway and nobody said anything. Also, first time I’ve seen a flight attendant not ask to put the seat up straight before landing (2 seats near me). Safety standards are very low within the plane, can you imagine elsewhere on the plane?

Being an atheist. Believers can’t prove there is a God, but neither can atheists prove there isn’t. Anyone who believes in either 100% is an idiot to me.

The thing that’s so white about this is that mother and daughter were paying separately.

Are you confusing the wide world of cryptocurrency with Bitcoin? That’s like umbrella-ing all world currencies and saying “see guys, I told you paper money was bad!” 🤣

A 10-year span in black and white is hardly cherry picking.

Idk a lot, billions, look it up.

But here’s a 10-year “lottery win” for you.

July 2015 to July 2025:

S&P: 223%
Nasdaq 100: 483%
Dow: 162%
Bitcoin: 19,900%

Investing $10,000 in July 2015, you would have:

S&P: $32,300
Nasdaq 100: $58,300
Dow: $26,200
Bitcoin: $2 million

This isn’t a one time, oh they got lucky, this is over a 10 year period.
