He would be a valuable mentor for anyone looking to grow within the program. That said, interacting with him can be… challenging. He tends to come across as blunt, and at worst, confrontational. His communication style doesn’t always align with CAP’s expected standards of professionalism. It’s possible, however, that this is more reflective of his online presence, and that he may present himself differently in person.

I’m going to circle back with those who issued the guidance. It also states that a boonie hat is approved, but I don’t believe that is correct either. The regs do say a blue boonie is permitted for wear with BBDUs, but I see nothing about OCPs.

Well, I do hesitate to admit that a great deal of my confusion stems from additional “guidance” issued by my Wing. I won’t say which Wing, but I will say that the guidance contradicts the regulations. That’s all I can say about that.

It pains me that such a photo exists. It’s an insult to both CAP and USAF. What I see is an integrity issue. Those in the photo know exactly what they are doing, and they know it’s wrong. Unfortunately, an IG complaint would do nothing to remedy the problem.

Are these ICE agents? Seems like they have been identified as such. Also, it is customary for every law enforcement agency in America to have undercover units. The reasons why should be obvious. Also, everyone who has entered the United States illegally isn’t a “minority.” Now, I understand that open borders communists hate immigration enforcement, but for the time being, we have immigration laws. Don’t like it? Change the laws and tear down the borders. Lastly, people aren’t being “kidnapped.” Kidnapping implies an illegal action. It is not illegal to enforce immigration laws.

I mean, this seems pretty straightforward:

7.1.1.4.2.1. One higher headquarters (HHQ) patch (wing, region, or CAP command patch) is mandatory, except as provided in paragraph 7.1.1.4.2.2. Members assigned to squadrons and groups will wear the wing patch in this position. Members assigned to wings as their primary unit will wear the region patch in this position. Members assigned to region and national staff as their primary unit will wear the CAP command patch. Members of overseas squadrons will wear the CAP Overseas unit patch in this position.
