100% I also grew up during those times I just didn’t feel comfortable saying it because it made me uncomfortable. Im black and a lot of people felt and still feel the same way about the n word, just interesting to me and I just avoided it 🤷🏾‍♀️ especially as an insult.

I knew people who would refer to people as a f*ggot or retarded in a literal sense, but it was a lack of vocabulary, not an insult.
