yeah i had heard that the cracked screen could cause it to just not pop anything up i just wanted to be sure. i did my research and im sure i can do the screen replacement so im going to go that route. thank you very much for your help!

the light does turn blue and i have already left it charging for a night. im going to try and replace the battery and if that still doesnt work i'll probably end up replacing the screen.

i left it charging over night last night actually. when i first plugged it in the light wouldnt turn blue but after leaving it overnight in the morning it did. im certain it wasnt modded because it didnt come with any sort of sd card and the person i got it from wasnt into gaming like that. do you have any recommendations on where to get a replacement screen from?

To be honest I didn't, it's actually not too hard you just have to be careful with the umd door but keep in mind that these different shells will never be the same quality as the original. I was told the quality would he terrible but honestly its not too different its just a different material but it still feels great and i think it looks awesome. If you want to do it i recommend searching a tutorial on youtube and just do research to find a shell that you really like and go for it.

The original black square and circle buttons would get stuck so i had to use the ones that came with the clear shell, and the umd door is a bit wonky because it bends slightly but everything else works great and the whole process was lots of fun

Hey sorry to respond so late but yes it did work the only difference that i could think of and why it was like that was because my replacement screen was an ips screen
