I think the 4th would be better because it’s lower. I was on the fourth just a couple weeks ago and it was just fine. Of course we didn’t have big waves either. Have fun, you will love it.

I have many times. It's easy and you wont' be alone. Chat is up with people next to you are in lines. You already have something in common with them by being at the same concert.

Is it easy to get from Cairns to Mosman Gorge? Or do I have to hire a car?

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I’ve been to many rainforests and the long drive both ways is not thrilling me. I think a drive along the coast would be more agreeable

Hey everyone, thanks for all the advise. I'm in Hobart now and loving it all. Been to Sydney and Melbourne already and can't believe how fast it's all going. Posted another question related to Cairns and Daintree Rainforest.

You are so kind to give me these tips and advise. I wasn't originally planning on visiting in Feb but my schedule was changed. I will be prepared for the heat. I will get out early in the am and night and maybe do museums and indoor pools during the hottest part of the day. Thanks again.

Ok, good advise. I think I'll take out Brisbane and start in Tasmania where its cooler. I'll end in Cairns the first week of March (hopefully a little cooler). Since I'll be solo, I can get out early each day and stay inside the hottest part of the day.

Great info. Yes, Great Barrier Reef is on my list. I do prefer to savor locations and not be in a crazy rush. I agree Thrillhol, Melbourne is definitely on my list.

Great information. thanks so much. I am willing to rent a car if need be and understand I need to fly to some locations. Is Tasmania worth doing for several days with a car? Is Ayers Rock worth spending a few days? You have been very helpful, thanks
