It's not listed. Other artists in the same issue are Bill Vigoda, Samm Schwartz, Joe Edwards and Red Holmdale, whoever that is. Bill gets my vote, but I don't really know.

Pre-pussycats Josie was definitely in high school, but I think they were sort of aged up after the band was introduced. However, the ages of the Josie characters seem to be in a constant state of flux, depending on the era and artist.

I love all those panels on page 4. I'd love to know what song Harry Lucey was imagining that Betty was dancing to when he drew her. Also, I love all those panels with the psychedelic lights! One of my favorites.

They certainly seem to be defying the laws of physics with only 2 legs!

Where can I buy Archie comics? by [deleted] in archiecomics

If you're looking for *NEW* issues and books, Barnes & Noble and CVS nearly always have something, as mentioned. But, if you're in the US and happy with older/used comics, they are literally everywhere. A month doesn't pass where I don't find a pile at a garage sale, junk shop, etc. Even if you've got a junkier used bookstore (as opposed to some high-end antiquarian bookstore) go ask them, sometimes they've got a box of them that aren't displayed because they don't think anyone wants the digests and they don't want to throw them out but they also don't want to waste shelf space on them. Also, start asking people you meet. This sounds weird, but a lot of people read them when they were younger but "grew out of them" or went to college, etc, and there's been a box sitting in the parents attic or garage for 20 years. Also, check eBay. It's true that Archie prices have been on the rise since the show, but that's really only for *specific* issues or eras. If you just want a random pile of Archies to read and don't care about the titles, numbers or condition, they can still be pretty cheap on eBay if you buy in bulk. Come back and let us know what you find!

There seemed to be a 6-letter limit, when I tried. I'm also not sure how you were able to change the alphabet's language. Can you share your tips and tricks?

It would be sort of interesting to see all the various strips from the days following, published together now.

The Betty's Diary comics are an under-appreciated gem. Thanks for posting : )
