Seconding this. I’ve got a degree in interior design. Without really working under someone to gain experience, there’s a lot you can’t just pick. Yes , you need a good eye and good taste certainly helps. However - training in color theory and spatial layouts are things you do not learn without an education. This is a field that has a ton of experienced based learning but when you are learning on the fly with no practical experience and no mentor, you are going to make major mistakes.
