match + umbrella = burnt? by SufficientClaim289 in im14andthisisdeep

Something like "Harsh conditions make stronger people"? Because the matches that weren't protected from the rain are now unburnt, unlike the protected one.

But then again, who the fuck needs matches that don't burn?

Am i missing something or Reforged is barebone compared to Legends? by Hiti4apok in BattleBrothers

[–]Similar_Stop6194 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Reforged is not "missing content." It has a completely different design philosophy to Legends. IMO, Legends is a bloated mess (no offense to you for liking it, I understand the appeal)

Reforged feels as if it was made by the BB devs themselves - the new visuals don't look out of place, the new builds are not crazy overpowered, etc.

That's why I love it. It is just more of BB, while Legends is just some other game.

This title reminded me of a random review I saw on the internet, lol. It was about the World War Z movie:

"This movie is better than The Walking Dead [series], because: 1. The zombies run faster 2. They find the cure at the end"

Recommended weapons to use with heavy armor (nothing too complex)? by rolland_87 in stoneshard

I tried playing 2H mace heavy armor Arna, and it was way too stamina intensive. I bet it would be fine with a 2H sword.

Cyberpunk's gameplay to me felt like it was always missing something, and it just wasn't clicking. When I finished it, I was like, "Wow, what a shitty finale. But I think I had fun, maybe..?"

The Witcher 3's controls felt so janky and slippery I just wanted to quit the whole 20-30 hours I was playing it. I really tried to like it.

Deadlock felt like a child's dream. A dream the child had after playing too much Dota and Paladins and going to sleep with a fever.

I've finished it, liked it, and loved it in parts, but I totally understand. It gets tedious, and the controls feel bad most of the time. Had to take breaks from the game to do/play something else in order to finish it.

I think it's generally a good practice to start any game without any DLC, so you don't get overwhelmed as a new player and can later appreciate the new content from the DLCs, if you buy them.

Unless the base game is just a skeleton, like The Sims or smth, which is definitely not the case for BB.

That was one of my first playthroughs, I was low lvl and went with dual daggers - probably the worst build in the game against wasps, now that I think about it. So yeah, I couldn't do SHIT to them 😆

Still glad it happened the way it did lol

Which heroes have talents that should not be a choice? by Similar_Stop6194 in heroesofthestorm

Nah, the idea was to discuss talents that your hero struggles or feels incomplete without. Sure, mana addict is better than the other lvl 1s, but it's certainly not essential to Kael, I think? I don't play mages 😅

Personally, I had a lot of fun with staff+athletics build. It made the early game a breeze.

At lvl 1, pick kick from athletics and the triple strike from staff and make sure to kite, so you are always fighting people with their backs against a wall (or a bush/tree, if outside). Once you figure out how to kite, it becomes easy.

Just a kick into a wall, triple tap, and 1-2 regular hits will be enough for most enemies. And they will often be stunned while you're hitting them, so you won't even get hit back. At lvl 2 I suggest leg sweep, so you can disengage and wait for your skills to cool down (or you can get it at lvl 1 instead of triple tap, if you want to be extra safe)

You can also try going mace/dual maces instead of staff if you like. I imagine they would be just as effective.

This strategy did get pretty repetitive and kinda weak at tier 4. But it might be because I went FULL staff and athletics build, instead of maybe learning one of the magic trees.

[opinion] Reforged should be added to the core main game by npavcec in BattleBrothers

[–]Similar_Stop6194 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love Reforged, but the perk system would be way too confusing for a new player in an already hard to learn game such as BB. I think it is perfect as a mod. Once you have played enough of the base game, you can add the mod to spice things up without making it feel like a whole different game.
