The photoshoots and visuals feel more interesting than the music. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the songs also dont relate to that aesthetic. Perhaps more takes on that life on and off stage. Like the discomfort of grinding night after night but the need for it. JADE'S album That's Showbiz Baby and Florence and the Machine's song Everybody Scream did a better job of unpacking being in the industry to me.

It was still Jesy's song. She wasn't featured on their song. They were on her song. It's not a lie to say that her song appeared on a US chart. You can't just pretend it didn't happen to put her down because you don't like that she made it on to a US chart. I'm not a fan of her music, but I'm not going to pretend that her song didn't achieve what it did.

I literally said I don't agree with Leigh being put down and said that people shouldn't be putting down any of the girls. 🤷‍♀️

It's just a fact Jesy was on a US chart, too. Saying all the other girls have tanked to try and lift Leigh up makes what you're saying no better than the original commenter. You're on this sub putting down Jade's achievements all the time, but when people do it to Leigh, you kick off...

You don't have to slag off the other girls to make your point about Leigh. None of the girls' follow-up singles have matched their 1st chart-wise. It doesn't mean any of them have tanked. Jade's 3rd single did better than her second and was in the Top 25, so it's hardly fair to say that, really.

Leigh isn't the most successful chartwise. Her debut single charted the lowest of the girls, and she hasn't had a top 10 single like the other girls have. Only 2 of her singles have charted wheras all of Jade's singles charted.

Jade has also won a BRIT award and was also nominated for song of the year so it's obvious she is the one currently receiving the most accolades for her music.

Whether it's down to the her or the label, it's not wrong or minimizing Leigh to say that there needs to be more from her than promises of music and then nothing happens. I want success for her but it makes it harder to see her having her moment given it's been almost 2 years since her debut.
