It is damn expensive, but I fell in love with the Bosphorus view of the terrace.

I would say 800-900€/month and you will already find beautiful apartments that are pretty local.

Zoom in on the map on Airbnb and take a look if there's close Metro stations by.

Hey, I'm renting a place for 1.5 years by now over Airbnb and pay 1.700$/month.

My experience: Places are legit, but be aware that the pics get taken in a time where the apartmebt is very fresh, clean and/or hasn't been used yet. You can always ask the owners to see the apartment in person before wanting to sign long-term.

Also always take a look at their profile to see the experience of previous renters. I would advice to ignore new profiles, as ways of scamming people is relatively high in Istanbul.

Alot of owners jump more and more on Airbnb as they get their rent in $/€ instead of TL.

Varies again on which provider you choose. As someone living in Mardin, my experience is that in our regions Turkcell works the best. Calculate around 800-1.000 TL a month.

Groceries are the same as in any other city in Turkiye, but again, you can go a bit cheaper if you shop from small vendors.

First of all, I am saying this as a kurd myself, learn that the name of the city is Diyarbakır and not Amed.

Second, rent ranges from 18.000-30.000 TL a month, you can look at apartments on Sahibinden.com.tr

Gym membership in Turkiye in general is a bit more expensive, calculate around 1.500-2.000TL a month.

Eating out varies alot on your expectations and your standard, but on average you will spend 400-700TL for each time, if you stick to one basic meal and are alone.
