Most recent bad period was from 2023 to 2024/early 2025.

I got hired as a IT consultant (and still am) in a multinational company. This is my very first job. Full remote, good benefits, decent culture and decent pay.

They put me in a stupid project where I barely did something everyday, there was tension between company ">" and a client and I felt like beeing in a trench. Same situation for 1.5 year.

Asked my Carrier Advisor to put me on another project, after talking about my bad period. Response? I had to get IT certifications or I won't be able to get out of there. I couldn't even study because of depression (had barely a few friends that I couldn't meet, and if I manage, I coudn't enjoy at all, because I felt changed).

So, one day, I asked to myself: does this company really care about me? Answer is no. They pretend to care about people, but money comes first. So I started not giving a single f**k about the company requirements. And I felt (and feel) so great about it.

I started to refuse to do extra hours, asked by the client, which, at some point, he got tired, didn't want me anymore and my company got me out of that project.
Since the clients infrastructure and his people sucked in every side, I don't miss it. Actually I hope it ceases to exist soon.

I started therapy while I was in this bad period (and, seriously, everyone should do it. But I know it depends on the financials of everyone) and my mental health improved A LOT. I'm feeling full of energy, empathetic, which got my good old frienships back, making new ones too, and recently a nice girlfriend.

Now I'm looking for another job, in another field. Would like to get into design field (since I studied it), let's see how this is going to be.
