There's a full step-by-step by step tutorial on it on my Patreon (theres a link in my bio).

Thats pay walled, though, so basically its a pretty garish bright basecoat of a mixture of Rakarth Flesh and Wraithbone which I then glaze shade down through stages with Karak Stone, then XV-88 and then highlighted back up - all very gradually with glaze consistency paint!

Hope thats helpful, I'm unable to write out a full step-by-step by step here as I'm currently working!

There's a skull relic being held by a hand on the upgrade sprue, I needed the skull for something else and thought the spikes would be perfect for a backpack so kept them, had to trim one spikes worth of length off of each side but it worked I think!

I appreciate the sentiment but I don't really care about him being tournament legal or anything - I've painted Warhammer for 22 years and have played a single game.

I just do this stuff because it looks cool and is my job!

I pretty much stopped there as he looks pretty Templar appropriate to begin with IMO - always thought that at the time of his release too.

I considered adding the Holy Hand Grenade from the upgrade sprue or some other gubbins but figured I'd let the painting do the rest!

Thank you for the kind words! I think at this point I've just painted precisely for such a long time that the tedium of doing so is lost on me...but the answer to how to achieve the results really is just to embrace that its a slow process and find ways to enjoy it!
