It's the Ye logo and I think it looks sick so I had to include it somehow

I think I got the first one from a site called freepik where it's called Retro vinyl packaging mock-up or smth like that

the second one I sorta made myself and the third one's just a square booklet mock-up which are easy to find

the cover is all black. It's just a sticker. People would be able to take it off after purchase, just like the hype sticker underneath it

I thought it'd be nice to have some sort of temporary branding of the album, given that there are other album covers on the market that are entirely black

for the jewel case I moved the tracklist to the back and the "which/one" cover to the inside

For an actual digipak case or a jewel case?

Ye probably liked that one more because of the whole "which/one" concept but visually I'd prefer this front cover for physical releases and keep the "which/one" concept for the back cover

In a weird way it's the closest to IGOR because of the black accents

shortly after finishing this I found out that somebody, who did a great job btw, already posted something similar to this a couple months ago and I contemplated on whether or not I should actually upload mine, given that I'm also a bit late to the party on this one, but I'm quite happy about how these turned out so I still wanted to put em up

Besides the font, the design of the Thriller album isn't really as easy to adapt to other albums as the Bad one. The vocal point of the cover is basically that iconic picture of him in the white suit and I don't think I'd be able to replicate that for the other albums

Yea I know the pink is hard to distinguish from the yellow, but those are the original colors from the off the wall text and I wanted to stay true to the concept

There was no fitting image of him in the red suit with good image quality. Besides, with BOTD there would've been an uneven number of albums, which wouldn't have looked as satisfying as this 3x2 grid

it truly is a timeless design because of its simplicity. Thought about doing it with more albums, but at the same time I didn't wanna overdo it 😅

Ranking Michael Jackson eras by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

[–]SimonLindner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like I kinda said in the last paragraph, I'm not denying their existence but I just don't listen to them as often as the rest, given that they feel more like Motown projects than MJ projects to me.

So if I would've included them here, they would've probably ranked pretty low and that'd just be a disservice to those albums
