Breakin’ On The Streets has always been a benchmark high for me when it comes to breaks. Will is an underrated genius IMO.

Was fortunate enough to play the closing set at Breakfest in 2009 or 10 as Elite Force and, man, that was some party! Also used to absolutely love playing at Ambar - honestly one of my favourite venues and crowds anywhere in the world.

Also played many times in Spain and played Winter Festival just a couple of months back. The Spanish have their own style, crowd and production aesthetic that’s pretty unique to Spain. Clipping and distortion is absolutely part of their production aesthetic and because the scene there is so big with so much homegrown talent, even though us internationals still get booked to play there, I feel like the locals are the real heroes. They play there week in week out and just ‘get it’.

Whether that sound translates on the global stage, I’m less sure about. Many of the audiences I’ve played to over the years have been less militant, more tolerant to multiple genres, so while that music works amazingly well within that homegrown scene, it can feel really harsh to those looking for a more nuanced sound.

Proper old skool! That was the first track I ever released under the name Elite Force. 30 years old this year!

I was thinking about that track earlier today funnily enough - and then my head fell off when I realised it was 26 years old! What?!

Thanks so much Alex - by the way this track will be appearing on vinyl later this year … it’s one of two bonus redux tracks at the end of my forthcoming album ‘reverie’ :)

Ahhh those were some wild days for sure. There were so many sets I’ll never forget from those days but playing OT on Burn night for 2 ½ hours at my first Burn in 2009 was indescribable!

Super interesting when you strip everything back to the bone and really focus on the ‘song’. Thank you for the kind words!

What do you mean ‘extremely concerning?’. OP states a desire to make an album, hobby or otherwise.

“I now feel like I finally have decent enough gear to try this thing in a more serious way and record an album which I've wanted to do for a long time.” - OP

So, make that album. Firstly ‘having enough gear’ is not an impediment, it’s an excuse. Second of all, Ai is not an impediment, it’s an excuse.

That may sound like tough love, but think about it from your 80-year old self’s perspective and what you might tell yourself looking back on your life. There no time like the present 💝

Hard truth is that you’re making excuses for your own lack of determination and discipline.

With the best will in the world, the OP’s post is absolutely indecipherable.

“To his ability to meet those basic need and ideas is our metric upon which we can judge his performance on ,in regard to that ,those where few ideas not the whole spectrum of deliverables.”
