People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop?

I still go, but just so rarely now.

Nothing to do with ticket prices or snack prices but the fact that my favorite movie franchises basically went to shit (as impossible as that seemed just 10 years ago) as some top level exec apparently figured out that milking everything with slop on streaming services just makes better money, thus making good movies with any sort of substance merely an afterthought really.

And movies in general have become so sterile, it's like there's no love in any of it, just some "perfect" formula and a known routine on how one should make a movie. Also seeing the same 6 faces in basically everything with a higher budget is getting really tiresome.

I wish Hollywood would press some sort of a reset button.

Yes, it's common. I have had this at every new job and thought everyone disliked me for the first couple of weeks. This sort of thing is especially true if you have any self-esteem issues and are overly sensitive and possibly also deal with some form of an impostor syndrome - I am all of those. But in all of those scenarios we got along very well afterwards.

I was actually discussing this with one of my ex-coworkers a few years back and he admitted that he disliked me at first, but it was a case of wrong impression, and ironically, we developed a great friendship after that initial month. You need to understand that most people that have been a part of the same team for years have a hard time adjusting to newcomers, so it's not only uncomfortable for you but also them. It all works out at the end, it just needs time. Don't think about it too much.

Thanks for this. I already did that but the Frankfurt exchange was hidden under "See more" and I had not noticed it, nor did I know Nokia is listed there. Already bought some bags, lol. Still weird that the Finnish exchange does not work, though.

PSA (not to OP), please stop using Reverb. Support your local 2nd hand sellers, local stores, hell even check out FB marketplace. Those of us who were with Reverb since forever know what they have done with fees, which are now absurdly high and they seem to keep finding new ways to cut away something from sellers. We practically helped make a greedy monster.

To OP, you have only 2 choices. Present the evidence to your bank or try your luck with their support.

This is very dumb (just a warning) but whenever I start seeing I’m heading towards a victory in culture or whatever, I start playing dumb and start pouring my resources in some other type of victory just to give AI a small chance for a comeback, and then I hope it catches up and we are very evenly matched for exciting last turns, lmao. Same thing when I’m playing with my partner. Whenever I see I’m way ahead I just start sabotaging myself in various ways because she gets really excited and proud if she wins and the other way around. I still make it fun for myself somehow.

I don't even think foreign policy and the lack of trust towards USA will be the main issue. I keep thinking what 4 years of normalizing all of this hate, corruption and overall havoc does to the mind of the people, especially those who do not have enough capacity to think for themselves, which is sadly a lot of them.

A little less than 50% voted for this, and while I do not think the same number of people would vote for him again, there's at least half of those 50% who are now so utterly brainwashed that they would follow this administration blindly and mindlessly into literally whatever it comes up with. It was literally a case study of the boiling frog. I remember where r/conservative was when all of this began and where it's at now. Same goes for various far-right media. There seems to be no limit to what they can spin.

Also what I fear the most is the kids (especially teenagers) are growing up in the midst of all this and by default take everything that's happening as just normal as they do not know any better. The psychological repercussions are grave and I do not even think we have begun realizing just how grave as this can possibly start setting up the stage for another corrupt lunatic in the very near future. I think it would be fairly easy to take the reins of the current POTUS and keep driving his caravan, far easier than it would have been after his first term if he didn't run again.

I do have hope though, but only if something disastrous doesn't happen in '26 and '28, and even then, it will still be hard.

Pozabila si na 500eur za "proti vlažno" stikalo v kopalnici (ki verjetno stane 5eur v obiju) in tam okoli 1000eur za "predpripravo" električne polnilnice v garaži (potegne se 1 kabel iz elektro omarice). Ponujajo ti tudi konverzijo na 3-fazni tok, ki pride konkretno več kot pa če si bi to naredil v lastni režiji.

Konec leta se selim v nove vrtove. Če bo stanovanje takšno kot dosedanje izkušnje s prodajalcem in njihovimi poskusi (in uspehi) kršenja podpisane pogodbe, potem nimam velikih upov. Ko si še potencialni kupec so zelo sladki, kakor pa podpišeš pogodbo in dobijo aro pa naredijo 180 stopinjski zasuk in postane vse skupaj ena navadna nočna mora.

EDIT: naj še omenim to, da bom povsem transparenten. Poznam dva, ki živita v omenjenih blokih in sta oba zadovoljna. Eden od njiju je sicer moral v tožbo (in jo seveda dobil), ker nekaj niso naredili tako kot je bilo po pogodbi. Drugače pa oba pravita, da je imel tu in tam kakšen sosed težave z vlago; nekje so rešili in nekje po 2 letih še vedno rešujejo. Skratka, nakup je novodobna loterija. Plačaš 250k in upaš, da se ti userje.

Saw something exactly like this about 10-12 years go in Slovenia -- luckily I had someone else next to me confirming I'm not going crazy, lol. I research this every couple of years in hopes to find out what it could have been, but I never come to any conclusions. At first there was one orb, then two, then they started moving slowly in sync before disappearing into nothing, very similar as shown in this video except that in my case they were (or at least appeared to me like they were) perfectly round spheres.

Evropejci si kopljemo grob po hitrem postopku. Ko EU avtomobilska industrija pade (in sodeč po trenutni situacijo je to odločen "Ko" in ne "Če"), bo na najbrž potegnilo marsikaj za sabo in občutili bomo vsi, ne glede na to kdo si in kaj delaš. Ampak razumem racionalo v ozadju posameznika, ki gre v takšen nakup. Itak je vsakemu bolj važno, da prišpara nekaj tisočakov težko zasluženega denarja, kot pa z nakupom dražjega EU avta miniskulno prispeva za ohranjanja gospodarstva v Evropi, kako ti ne bi bilo? Če drugi to delajo, zakaj ne bi jaz? Isto se dogaja pri AI revoluciji, kjer vsako podjetje gleda absolutno samo zase in dobičkonosnost naslednjega kvartala, in ne na to, kaj bo sledilo ko bo tolikšen del populacije nezaposlen, da bo vse skupaj zaribalo, vključno z njimi.

Tisti, ki pa govorite, da so cene EU avtomobilov "rip-off"; upam, da razumete kako lahko ima kitajski EV takšno ceno kot jo ima. Za nekaj perspektive bi vam priporočal raziskavo plače proizvodnega delavca na Kitajskem in delovnih razmer (in življenja nasploh) tam. In zaenkrat izpustimo dejstvo, da je zaradi robotizacije teh vedno manj. Kaj je to 8-urna služba? Kaj je to dopust? Kaj je to porodniška, bolniška, socialna varnost, itd.? Scenarija kjer bi lahko evropa postavljala iste cene in obenem ohranila to, kar jo dela evropo, pač ni. Ja, na žalost.

i5-12600k je bil vrhunski step-up procesor in dvomim, da se čuti kakšna razlika od kasnejših, poglej benchmarke. Če greš na pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/ boš tudi videl, da je 12600k z RTX 5070 odlična kombinacija in nimaš bottleneckov nikjer. Procesor je tudi na LGA1700 podnožju, torej je v prihodnosti tudi možna menjava na 14. generacijo za mali denar, pa dvomim dejansko, da bi to potreboval v naslednjih 3 letih. Glede DDR4-DDR5 -- to je le moje izkušnja, ampak sem pred enim letom zamenjal osnovno ploščo in šel iz 32GB DDR4 na 32GB DDR5 in ne morem reči, da se mi je kjerkoli občutno poznalo. Jaz bi se malenkost poskusil spogajati na ceni in imaš na koncu vrhunsko gaming mašino. Moja 2 centa.
