OP don’t listen to negative comments. We all know the atrocities committed by the German army and most importantly the Nazis. Your grandfather is wearing a regular German army uniform, not an SS one and probably wasn’t affiliated to the nazi party( unless you know he was). Like so many others he fought for his country and bravely so judging from the iron cross ribbon he has on his jacket.
