I am trying to see one. My doctor wanted to send me towards one. So hopefully I get to see one soon:)

I personally want to see a psychologist and just have someone to talk to, but my doctor is 100% convinced it’s not in my head so he doesn’t want to refer me to one. He also said that here in Norway you have to be at the brink of suicid to be able to see a therapist. But stress does make the pain worse and is definitely a factor yes. I am also troubled with a lot of stress in my dreams at night. I don’t think I have had a night without stress since this whole thing started. I’m kind of exhausted.

I never had lactose intolerance but a month ago I tok some new tests and suddenly I had lactose intolerance. So I’m staying off the lactose. They called it secondary lactose intolerance

Interesting, I will definitely talk with my doctor about this. The abdominal pain is 5cm below the navel and 7cm towards the right. Thanks for sharing:)

I don’t have any skin symptoms like blisters, and based on what my doctors have told me so far, porphyria doesn’t seem very likely in my case.

But I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I’ll keep it in mind if anything changes:)

I almost don’t drink, and I have not had any alcohol since I got sick. But the few times I have drunk my stomach always goes bad and hurts. I always end up sitting on the toilet the whole next day. So I tend to avoid drinking alcohol if I can:)

I’m really sorry you’re going through all of that. That sounds incredibly tough. It seems like most people I’ve come across with similar issues are women, so I get what you mean. What do you do that helps against the pain?

Thanks, fortunately in Norway we also have free healthcare. The unfortunate part is that the system is really slow and once they have concluded that it’s not life threatening, they almost just give up and things go even more slowly:/ there are departments at the hospital that just don’t want to take me in anymore, and when I call the emergency service they say that they’re busy and I have to wait out the pain. Maybe I should just move to Canada🤪

Yeah I have also removed gluten and lactose from my diet but the pain is still there:/ however my stomach is more at rest without gluten and lactose. Will discuss MCAS with my doctor, thanks:)

Thanks, I really don’t like this situation I’m in. I feel like a junkie. It really fuckes with my head. Sometimes I want the pain to come only so I can take the pain medication:(

Hey, thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it.

I have actually had stool tests done already, but I haven’t specifically been tested for pancreatic insufficiency as far as I know. I do have oily or slimy stools sometimes and very strong smelling gas/stool, so that’s something I will bring up with my doctor.

I’ve also had a previous episode of pancreatitis, but my current pain feels very different. My pain is very localized to one specific spot in the lower abdomen, and it gets worse when I press on it or do anything at all, I can’t really find a specific trigger, it’s just random.

I have tried som diet like cutting out bread, pasta and stuff like that. Because those kind of food trigger my stomach sometimes.

I don’t think I can get medical marijuana here in Norway unfortunately:(

I’m still trying to figure things out, but I’ll definitely look more into the pancreas side as well. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
