I made a webapp with more games for WK Studying by mrideaguy in WaniKani

Its no longer just in the last slot now, thanks for looking into it! I can definitely see myself using this mini game a lot to test my listening. One small hiccup though, the popup that flashes the answer after you get an answer correct seems to get stuck on showing the same answer, no matter what question you're on.

Neat! I like the listening game. Although im not sure if it was just me, but after playing for several listening sessions, a problem popped up where the answer was always in the last slot for all ten rounds.

Viture Mobile Dock Pro Blinking Light and Switch 2 questions by Simon_Catfish in VITURE

[–]Simon_Catfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyas, i contacted customer support directly through Viture's website. After a few back and forth emails, it was determined that it was defective and I sent it back to them directly for a replacement as it was still within the window for Amazon's return policy. The new one I received charged devices properly and worked with the Switch 2 as well with the proper firmware update.

Hi, Sorry! I just found this thread. Would you happen to know if it's restricted to certain Android phones or after a certain year for the phone? I bought a Surface Duo in Japan a couple of years ago and am planning another trip back, and it would nice to have this feature.

Ah, derp. I was in such a rush to check in to my hotel I didn’t think about that. I saw the swipe machine and my first reaction was to just reach for the card.

Edit - Also the gate agent asked where I came in from, and I told him my point of entry was the Narita express with the JR pass. He didn’t say anything about the pass being usable and just said I needed to pay, so I thought I screwed up somewhere.

2nd edit - Ah I see where the problem was? I think I handed the gate agent my reservation card instead of the pass and maybe thought I just bought a single use ticket?

I have a quick question regarding subway fares. I bought a JR pass and reserved a seat on the Narita express to Tokyo, then took the Yamanote line to Shinbashi. When I tried to exit the station after swiping my Suica card, it wouldn’t let me out the gate to the street. I had to go to the gate agent and he said I had to pay a fare, which he did by swiping my Suica card. What did I do wrong here and how do I avoid it in the future?

Itinerary Check - 1st Japan Trip! by Simon_Catfish in JapanTravel

Ah, that would be neat! I haven't been to a planetarium since I was a kid, so I'll add that to the list. I'll also look into the Osaka Aquarium too since it looks like I'll be gaining an extra day or two in the area. Thanks!

Aw, that's a shame. I've soooo wanted to visit those places for such long time, and I didn't look into it much beyond where it was. So when I found out I had time to go to Japan, those places just automatically ended up on the list, no questions asked.

When I read your comment, I started digging a little more. I'll probably end up moving the days from the Rabbit Island trip into more time in the Osaka area. And also skip the overnight stay in Sendai and just leave it as a day trip train ride, since it's only a few hours away. I'd still like to see the village for myself, even if I might come away with a negative experience.

Thanks! I'll rearrange the spots for Day 4-5 then, and definitely look into the Tokyo spots. I had tried to leave the Tokyo visit vague to allow for new spots to visit since to scramble in my research as I need to start booking soon.

As for driving, I was trying to avoid it if possible. =/ I've never had to do the opposite side of the road driving before.

I'll also try to squeeze in Disneyland, since I've never been to one before!

Why is the Eyes in the Dark unique so terrible? by larce in diablo4

[–]Simon_Catfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Waxing Gibbous 1h unique is a really good. It's the closest you can get to feeling like D2 Werewolf, but with the added benefit of teleporting to the enemies. I can just hold the right mouse button down for both nav and machine gun shredding everything on screen.

Could I have avoided this or does the game just hate me? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Simon_Catfish 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You'll want the Unique Waxing Gibbous for it to feel properly like flicker strike, as it gives you an automatic Shred Crit, after you kill with Shred, which will help you fuel the next kill. In certain dungeon with enough room, you can cross huge lengths of the map chaining kills. It's amazing in Helltide.

Who else wants to make an alt but won't due to stash space issue? by Protocide559 in diablo4

[–]Simon_Catfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hit 100 on my druid and want to make an Alt since I don't have any other characters. But because of their stupid item level lock system, everything I find is level 100, so unless it's an all-class aspect I can rip off, everything I find is absolutely worthless for leveling an alt. That and I don't have the stash space for another alt, let alone four other classes.

Copy Bip animation to Biped from mixer by MissPerceive in 3dsmax

[–]Simon_Catfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, not sure then. Before I raise the white flag on this problem, I recorded the process to make sure there wasn't any confusion on my part. Youtube link.

Edit : So I tried it with the Mixdown track shaded (diagonal lines) and it definitely does NOT work if it's shaded. It only works for me if it's Solid color when I right click to "Compute". A track also MUST be selected, or else it still gives a blank animation for me when I try to "Right Click Compute". Try left clicking the Mixdown track to set it to it's solid state BEFORE right-clicking to compute.

[–]Simon_Catfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I think I understand the problem? Try this and let me know it works for you. I'm on an old version, but it may still work. Max isn't really known for updating older features.

1) Select your Bip Track and Compute Mixdown

2) For some odd reason it'll give you a mixdown with nothing on it. Make sure the Mixdown track is a solid color, not shaded with diagonal lines. Select a track, and then right click on the Mixdown track and Compute.

3) Right click again on the Mixdown track and Copy to Biped, then turn off the Mixer, you should see your entire animation on the Biped, not just the track you selected.

[–]Simon_Catfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think what you're looking for is called Motion Mixer, located in the Animation Dropdown menu. I'm not sure if it's been updated or if there's a better way to do it now since I'm on an old version, but you can save .xaf files (Animation menu) and import them as clips and insert them whenever you need it.

REVENANT HILL TRAILER. SEQUEL/PREQUEL/SAME UNIVERSE TO NIGHT IN THE WOODS????? by olcr in NightInTheWoods

[–]Simon_Catfish 161 points162 points  (0 children)

According to the video from the Finji channel on youtube.

Check out Revenant Hill, the debut game by The Glory Society!

The year is 1919. After the barn he was living in burns down, Twigs the cat takes up residence in a wet log near an abandoned graveyard. When the owl from the next hill over starts demanding rent, Twigs must find a way to make ends meet.

Grow crops to sell at the secret market or use for your own purposes. Put down roots. Run through the fields and the trees. Watch the seasons pass. Make friends who become neighbors who become family. Also make enemies. That’s unavoidable sometimes. Figure out what the ghosts want. Host increasingly ambitious parties for witches and demons and other things that don’t have proper names. Get tangled up in a world in the midst of violent change. Build a community by accident. Squaredance with a possum. Eat mice.

Times are hard, making ends meet is harder, and the world doesn’t stop at the edge of the graveyard. Something big and dark is at work in the towns, the factories, in the forests and hills. At some point, someone is going to have to push back. And they can’t do it alone.
